First off, before I start this review, I would like to say that I was given this product by Amabie in exchange for an honest review;so here it is, my honest review of the PurLisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Cleansing Milk. This is a milky cleanser that serves as a multitasking product. It aims to cleanse, remove makeup, tone and soothe the skin by using some impressive ingredients like soy milk, whole oat and white tea. It also claims to be gentle and that it won't strip your skin of it's natural oils.
Product: 150ml of product that comes in a sleek tube. For all skin types and contains the ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Acrylates Copolymer, Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Tridecyl Stearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polysorbate 80, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein Octenylsuccinate, Alaria Esculenta Extract, Butylene Glycol, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Nymphaea Coerulea Flower Extract, Methyl Gluceth-20, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Laureth-4, Tridecyl Trimellitate, Carbomer, Aminomethyl Propanol, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Limonene, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Cymbopogon Martini Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Juniperus Mexicana Oil, Tagetes Minuta Flower Oil, Michelia Alba Flower Oil.
Unfortunately nothing up on CosDNA but for those with easily irritated skin or allergies to certain oils, this cleanser contains many flower oil extracts
I really enjoy this cleanser. It's the first milky one I've ever tried, so it took a while to get used to the no-foaming. The smell is a little weird, but doesn't really linger so I don't mind. As for makeup removal, I found this to remove my simple and everyday makeup fairly well, in fact I was impressed. It got off my non-waterproof mascara and my eyebrows (my everyday makeup). However, for my heavier makeup,( for dinners or photos ) this on it's own didn't do such a great job, even with two washes. Which was fine because I have an oil based cleanser that does. This cleanser does however calm my skin and i tend to reach for it on nights and mornings when my skin is irritated or if I'm having a bad skin day. Plus there is a lot of product (150 mL). Thats the same amount as my beloved Cosrx Gel cleanser. This product also did not irritate my skin or my eye area, and did not break me out.
Cons: The only cons I have about this product is that it's a tad bit too pricey for me to purchase. This can be purchased at Purlisse.com for $36.00 for a full size and $20 for a travel size at 70ml;I typically don't spend too much on cleansers ( I splurge on serums and essences) so this is a little bit out of my range. That being said, if you could afford it, then I would recommend the product as it does what it's meant to do. However, don't expect it to take off your heavy duty liner, eye shadow, concealer, foundation, contour etc., but it's still a champ for everyday makeup in my honest opinion.
Repurchase: Maybe in the future, but for now i want to try other affordable cleansers first, but I will definitely use this sparingly to try to make it last.
I would like to thank Amabie for giving me the opportunity to review these products. All opinions were my own and unbiased.
