For background information, I have oily skin, and suffer from hormonal cystic acne, which takes forever to heal, and leaves me with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, also known as, PIH. Depending on the weather and time of year, my skin can become hypersensitive.
The Naruko Taiwan Magnolia Brightening and Firming Vitamin K Eye Cream EX claims to remove dullness around the eye, by lightening the area of skin where we tend to get dark circles, and reverse skin aging through the use of nourishing moisturizers and plant-based peptides.
This isn't a very heavy cream. Since I don't experience dry, crepy skin around my eyes, I don't need to use a heavy eye cream. Even with my new acne medication, since my skin is so oily, it hasn't dried the skin around my eyes too much, where I'd need a heavy eye cream to provide moisture. In the past, heavy eye creams have caused milia, which are small, slightly hard, white bumps clustered around my eyes. Milia either is removed through consistent chemical and physical exfoliation, or extractions performed by a professional. Oftentimes, extracting milia is a very painful process. Since I've had to have some milia extracted before, I tend to avoid very heavy creams for my face. Thankfully, this product hasn't caused any milia to develop in my eye area!
I use this eye cream at night only, because it makes my already super oily eye area, much more oily. For such a light cream, it provides so much moisture! I tend to get dark circles under my eyes if I don't get enough sleep, or I work too much. However, even with somewhat consistent use of this product, I don't notice a dramatic difference, so I still need to apply concealer in the mornings. I have very, very fine lines around my eyes, only because I tend to sleep on my side very often, and occassionally sleep on my stomach. I also have a very bad habit of rubbing my eyes when they get really tired, or from wearing my glasses for so long. But I haven't noticed that this eye cream has softened any of the fine lines around my eyes.
