I received this mask courtesy of @amabiebeauty.  I have a love-hate relationship with Leaders! I LOVE their Treatment and Renewal cotton sheet masks, such as this one, and their now discontinued First Ampoule Mask that came in a tube (those were fantastic ~ so sad that they got rid of them). I dislike and loathe their coconut hydrogels beyond belief, however ~ they just don't work for me at all and I have purchased and tried quite a few of them! They are popular thought, so YMMV 😁

This mask is one of my favorite masks EVER by Leaders. This has been a staple in my sheet mask collection ever since I tried it, so I had to kick off the review of my Leaders Treatment and Renewal masks with this one. This is made with tea tree oil to help control oil and prevent infections, witch hazel water (0.1%) to help soothe and calm your skin, while acting as a gentle astringent. It also has sugar maple extracts, which is a natural source of AHA and helps exfoliate dead skin cells and unclog pores, leaving behind radiant skin.

This mask has a lot of essence in it, which is thicker and almost gel-like ~ it does have a slight scent to it, nothing strong but it is tea tree. It is very cool on my skin which feels really good as I use this mask when I have blemishes ~ I have a nice one on my skin ~ thank you hormones! You can see it on my chin in the side view ~ it is so red and swollen. This mask has an excellent fit and is very silky to touch. I left this on for 40 minutes and after removing, my face was really hydrated ~ This is a wet mask and it leaves behind a bit of tacky feeling, but nothing horrible, as it absorbs quickly.

My face felt very smooth and refreshed, but this is not a mask that will make your face look matte if you have oily skin ~ my face was very dewy looking. However, it did calm down my blemish and reduced the swelling, so it worked out nicely!

CY Lab Top Luxury Mask - Crithmum Maritimum Callus Culture Filtrate (Taiwan)  The masks are a bit confusing as they have 3 varieties that use the exact same packaging and there is a "dot" next to the name on the back to tell you which variety the mask is. So, Crithmum Maritumum is derived from Sea Fennel and has retinol-like benefits ~ reducing fine lines & wrinkles, evening out skin tone, promoting cellular turnover. This mask will brighten your skintone and increase collagen & elastin, while leaving it hydrated. I was a bit shocked when I opened up the mask package and discovered it was a black mask! Nothing about this mask would have pointed to that, but I do love black sheet masks, as they also provide a detoxing component to my masking experience.

The fit. The fit is okay ~ for those of us with bigger faces, this will be a "just barely fits" type of mask. The mask sheet itself is soft and plush, and it is soaked in a watery clear essence that doesn't really have an scent. Due to the thicker nature of the sheet mask, I was able to leave this on for almost an hour as it was so moist. I removed and my face was very moist and wet, but it dried down fairly quickly, with no sticky or tacky residue. My skin tone did look brighter and more radiant, very plumped up with moisture ~ but not dewy. Which is a good thing for me & my oily skin ~ I have found that about 90% of Taiwanese sheet masks I have used will give my skin a mattifying look, which I appreciate. My pores also looked very clean and smaller in appearance.  I do recommend this mask

This moisturizer is to be used right after applying the Frozen 18 Activator.  I first want to say that I love this moisturizer ~ I view it more as a lotion, as it is very lightweight, but packs a punch with some excellent hydrating ingredients of glycerin & aloe vera.  It does have some oils that will help lock in moisture, such as squalane and olive oil, but it isn't heavy at all.  It contains niacinamide and tranexamic acid, .are brightening ingredients, along with some lovely botanical anti-aging  antioxidants, along with ceramide for a silky smooth skin.   Let's look at the packaging ~ this comes in a tall aqua bottle with a bright silver cap.  The cap is unique and I love it ~ it twists up to reveal a built-in pump applicator and then you twist it shut.  This is great for one handed opening and closing of the bottle!

This lotion is a light cream colored product, very lightweight and absorbs nicely into my skin.  The scent is amazing! It is a spicy botanical which I attribute to the bois de rose, neroli and lavender oils.  Bois de rose comes from the aniba rosaeodora tree and its scent is woody and mossy, which is where I am picking up the warm spiciness of this product.  You can see in the swatches below how lightweight and spreadable this product is.

This only increased my moisture level by 20%, but it is a balancing lotion ~ it turned my oily skin into normal skin after application.  I did find that I needed to add more products on my face after 2 hours at night.  Nighttime is the time which your skin can repair itself the best, and I used a sleep pack to lock in this product and to ensure my skin was sufficiently moisturized.  I think that this lotion is perfect for me during the daytime, however, and now that the trial is over, I will use it as such.  I received this product for review purposes from Amabie and Silkah.

Frozen 18

05/13/2017

This product is made with over 200 proteins, some of such tiny proportions that they aren't included in the ingredient list. I recognize some anti-aging, wound healing, cellular rejuvenating amino acids. This trial came with 2 boxes of the Frozen 18 Activator and each box contained 5 of the spray crystals tube and one liquid bottle.  Each tube is good for 3 days and has lines marked on the side of the tube and the liquid bottle will fill up each of the 5 tubes.  Whew!!  So, the instructions are easy ~ just clip off the tip of the liquid bottle and then open up one of the tubes.  Take off the spray top and fill up the tube with the liquid.  Place the spray top back on the tube and shake well.  This is a very watery liquid and it has a pH level of around a 8.  So, it isn't acidic.

It is mildly alkaline, which I am not sure how this will work to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, brighten skin tone and so on.   Now, here comes the hard part.  The proteins in Frozen 18 are very sensitive to your skin's pH level, so my skin had to be around 6.5 to 7.5 level.  That means that I could not use any products 2 hours prior to applying Frozen 18 and 2 hours after applying Frozen 18.  My night time routine took over 4 hours!! haha   I did document my eye area as best as I could for the time period I was testing this.  I gave up trying to get the same lighting as even though I took the pictures at the same time during the day, I was going into from winter to spring time, so the lighting outside of my bathroom was changing as well.   Week 1 is the starting point before I began using the products.

Honestly, no.  I didn't see any major improvement with my fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes.  What I did notice was this ~ Frozen 18 is DRYING on my skin.  My skin was so tight and dry ~ which is not something desirable on thin, delicate eye skin. I could feel the moisture just being sucked out with this product on my eyes.   I had to wait 2 hours before applying a rich and emollient eye balm.  Without that balm, I fear I would have more wrinkles and fine lines from the Frozen 18 product.  Now, it wasn't as if I was using  this product incorrectly.  I read the directions and I read the informational pamphlet with the trials conducted in the past.  Frozen 18 is used around the eye area and in fact, is one of the highlights with the before and after photos.  I am not sure why this failed so badly with my skin type as it isn't like I am too old.  They had test users who were way much older than I am in the pamphlet trial photos.  Let's just say that Frozen 18 was a fail for me.   I received this product for review purposes from Amabie and Silkah.

This mask is marketed as a hydrating mask and it is with its humectants of glycerin, amino acid sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid.   This contains nicotine acid, which is actually niacin, similar to niacinamide and in fact, niacin is actually vitamin B3. Niacin does help with repairing the skin barrier and facilities wound healing, but niacinamide is the ingredient that deals with brightening and hyper-pigementation.  That said, this has licorice and lactic acid, an AHA that will exfoliate your skin, so it will brighten. This has soothing and anti-inflammatory allantoin, extracted from the comfrey root and allantoin will also help speed up wound healing (blemishes).

The mask has a lot of watery, unscented essence and comes with two protectors ~ a plastic "pearl" sheet and then a thin blue paper sheet,  as the sheet is quite thin.  However, it isn't that thin that it tears or loses shape easily.  The fit is also quite decent as well and in fact, if you have a larger face, it will fit nicely as I had a lot of mask "left over" on the sides of my face.

After 30 minutes, I removed and my face felt refreshed and hydrated, very plumped up with moisture.  My pores looked clean and smaller in appearance and my overall skin tone was brighter.  Two thumbs up for this hydrating mask.  I think it is best for those just looking to bind water to their skin, not a deep moisturization. I received this product for review purposes from Amabie and Silkah.

Description: "Containing truffle extract, this mask improves dry and rough skin conditions. Combined with nourishing cocoa butter, this mask will leave you with a smooth, hydrated, and glowing skin." KinGins masks are free from parabens, fragrance, mineral oils, chemical additives, MI/MCI and dyes. This mask is a 3D one, which means it will really conform to your face for a close fit. It also has ear loops, so that it will help tighten your jaw line (V-line). I love the ombre effect of the mask package and how it looks like a macaron! The mask sheet is very soft and plush, feels really good on and the fit is AMAZING. The ear loops are comfortable and do not pull down or hurt my poor ears ~ so many of them do! There is a lot of the colorless, watery essence in the bag, so be careful as you squeeze it out ~ it is very watery, so it will squirt out if you are over-eager (like I was!). I patted the remaining essence over the mask and waited ~ oh, the scent is a slightly bitter, medicinal ~ it doesn't smell like anything and I really had to sniff to detect that scent, so I will give a scentless verdict on this.

After 40 minutes, I removed my mask. My skin felt so hydrated and soft ~ there was a residue on my face, but it didn't feel oily or greasy, just made my skin feel really smooth. No stickiness either and I did notice an immediate brightening effect overall ~ my skin looked really good! Two thumbs up for this mask from KinGirls ~ I love the fit of the mask, the ear loops didn't hurt, the mask was very moist so I could wear it longer and my skin was soft, moisturized and radiant.

I received this mask as part of the Beautibi Beauty Blogger program. I have used Unitouch Miss O before ~ I have tried their Relax version which I felt is a fantastic hydrating mask. This mask has the same properties as the Relax version ~ The mask has a really good fit around my face and it is thin, but the material they used is pretty strong, so it doesn't stretch out of shape or tear easily. There is a lot of watery essence and the scent is faintly bitter, but it disappears quickly. This contains similar ingredients to Relax with it with hydrating glycerin, sodium hyaluronate and trehalose, anti-aging lactobacillus, plus brightening anti-oxidant phytic acid. In addition to those ingredients, it also has a slew of herbal and floral extracts that have a variety of skincare benefits, such as soothing, healing, antioxidant and anti-aging, along with silver oxide...Why silver? Silver in skincare helps reduce and heal blemishes as it has antimicrobial properties. This had a lot of watery essence in the bag and as always, I put it on the areas that would dry out the fastest ~ forehead, nose, chin. I left this on for 40 minutes and removed ~ my skin is SO MOIST. Not sticky or tacky, but like I just came out of the water ~ so refreshing. My skin also looked a lot more brighter and clear (temporary, I know, sigh) and because I wanted to test the theory that this mask was the perfect primer for makeup steps, I just used on skincare product after it ~ 107 OneOSeven Core Flex Essence Cream. I have to say, with my oily skin, my skin was not dry at all during the day. I did mist it a couple of times, but I never felt like OMG, I skipped all of my skincare steps!! This is a great morning mask and if you have normal or oily skin, you might be able to skip a few steps in the morning with your skincare routine after using this.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

The Premium Scalp line is specially formulated for normal/oily hair and it will clean your hair as well as your scalp of dirt, oils and buildup. It contains 16 types of amino acids, 10 herbal extracts and ghassoul clay to help absorb oil ~ as well as rich, natural butters such as shea, mango, jojoba, murumuru and cacao butter, along with raw collagen, for ultimate hydration. It is free from silicon, sulfate and is cruelty free. The shampoo lathers up really nicely ~ it has a wonderful fruity smell to it ~ I thought it might be more herbal, but it smells like apples, peaches and pears. There is also a bit of a menthol scent and cooling action going on with this shampoo as well ~ it feels refreshing on my scalp and it does clear out my sinuses (bonus!!) This shampoo really cleans well, without leaving my hair tangled.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

I was looking for a soothing and hydrating mask and I thought this one might be it ~ with hydrating glycerin and trehalose, anti-aging yeasty lactobacillus, plus brightening anti-oxidant phytic acid and vitamin C derivative, 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid. The mask has a really good fit around my face and it is thin, but the material they used is pretty strong, so it doesn't stretch out of shape or tear easily. There is a lot of watery essence and even though Uni Touch describes the scent as "a unique and charming natural fragrance", I don't really smell anything. I left the mask on for about 30 minutes and after I removed it, I could see the texture of the mask and its cells ~ it has a textured woven material, which explains its strong, but soft sheet mask. My face did feel very hydrated and moist, with no sticky residue and looked brighter all around. This is a great morning mask as the essence absorbs quickly without tackiness and my skin was instantly hydrated and plumped up!

Before I actually give my opinion on this peel off mask, there are two things that I think you should know. This is a peel off mask, so it will contain alcohol and it does smell like alcohol. Most peel off masks I know of contain this ingredient and smell like it too! The second thing is to properly get the benefits of this mask, you must apply a medium to thick layer ~ this is also very common for peel off masks. If you apply it too thinly, it will not peel off and I have read some reviews complaining about how hard this was to remove.

According to the description, this is a gentle, diamond and pearl cream-based peel off mask that goes on white but turns to a bright silver (or chrome) when it is drying.  You apply a medium even layer to the skin and leave on for 20 minutes or completely dry.  It is very gloppy, very liquid (I am not sure why it was described as cream based) and sticky silver-white mask.  It has a nice cooling sensation as it dries down on my face and I did feel like the Tin Man looking in the mirror!

This mask contains pearl powder which exfoliates and brightens, diamond powder to remove impurities and rice bran extract to help nourish and moisture your skin, while improving your skin’s texture and antioxidant oats which act as an anti-aging ingredient.  This also has a “White Flower Complex“, which consists of lily, jasmine, orange flower blossom, elder flower and magnolia, which will nourish your skin, leaving your skin more bright and soft.  Thankfully, it doesn’t smell floral. After it dried down ~ it was about 30 minutes as I did apply a thick layer, I just peeled off, starting at my chin and moving upwards ~ it came off in one big sheet, leaving some chrome trails on my face, which I removed with some cleansing water. My face did look brighter and my pores looked tighter, while my face was mattified ~ this is probably due to the bentonite in the product, which absorbs excess oils while detoxing.

Cons: The tub container. This should be in a tube form, as it is so messy and sticky and gloppy. Other than that, I like this mask! It has entertainment value with the bright silver color and it really did clean out my pores and reduce the appearance of them.

In case you don't read all of my hydro nude gel reviews, I am repeating the information on the mask and how to use it. Then I do the review on the mask itself

This mask has a lot of clear watery essence both on the mask and in the package ~ so I pat on that extra essence on the areas where I know the mask will dry quicker ~ my forehead, nose area and chin ~ and it comes with a thin paper film (protector) to help stabilize the hydrogel and make it easier to apply to the face. I can notice that the gel is textured.  It is easy to apply on my face, gel side towards my skin  and there is no slipping around once I adhere it. But removing the paper film is very difficult.  In fact, the first time I used these masks, I wasn’t even aware there was a paper film to remove!  I thought it was part of the mask.  Since the paper is facing outwards, I just leave it on for 5 minutes or so ~ it will start to pull away as the hydrogel starts to adhere and hug my skin better. Once it does that, I just remove the paper film.  The initial fit is loose fitting as the gel does not adhere that closely in some spots.  However, as the mask dries down, the gel starts to draw into my skin and it becomes a very close fitting mask.  These masks have a nice cooling effect while it is on my skin and even after I remove it.

This mask has that triple combo to help heal, protect and soothe my poor skin while reducing excess oil. More on the material that the mask is made from ~ it is made from red algae, which is known for hydrating, soothing and firming properties and is compressed into 3 thin layers and infused with gel essence. This is a one piece hydrogel, of which I am very happy about because when I use a 2 piece mask, the lower half always falls off!  The watery essence in this mask is minty scented. Now, with this mask, I was able to remove the paper right off the mask. The mask is textured, so there is something there for me to hold on to, instead of a slick surface, but I was unable to get that paper removed with the other 2 masks, so maybe I just got lucky with this one.  This felt cooling and refreshing on my face and I wish I could have left it on for a full hour ~ but had to remove it after 30 minutes, because I had to be somewhere and couldn’t have a mask still stuck to my face! At first, my skin felt a bit “tacky” but the essence dried down quickly and my face looked very fresh and felt hydrated without any oily or greasy residue. My pores looked smaller  ~ many hydrogels make my pores look HUGE ~  and I felt that this did what it claimed to do ~ reduce oil, tighten up the appearance of pores and reduce the inflammation and redness on blemishes.

This unique gel mask is actually textured and I appreciate that it doesn’t slip and slip all around my face like a regular hydrogel.  With this mask, I didn’t notice a particular scent. After I removed the mask, I noticed something… Firming performance:  My skin was so “bouncy” ~ when I tapped my finger against the side of my cheek, I could see how firm my skin looked and how it actually bounced! So now I know what a firming mask is supposed to do to my skin as I could never tell before with other masks.  I am a huge fan of the Firming mask!

The essence scent is very light, a little bit like a bitter-floral scent.  I didn’t really notice any major moisturizing effects and I have oily skin, so I am not sure how these would work for dry skin.  My face did feel hydrated and there was no tacky or sticky residue on my skin ~ I did notice that my pores looked tighter and cleaner ~ probably because this gel sucked out the dirt!   This is a nice mask, but it isn’t my favorite of the 3 Bonvivant Hydro Nude Gels.

I received this from Jolse for review purposes. I have used the body version of this pad and I was a bit meh at that one. However, I love this facial bubble pad from Wish Formula! This is a one time use exfoliator, brightening and glow cleansing pad ~ This pad has an exfoliating (rough) side along with glycolic acid and lactic acid (AHA) which will remove dead skin cells, excess oil and dirt, while its ingredients of fermented botanical extracts and 200mg of vitamin C will help provide nutrition and radiance to your skin. It is designed to work as a professional spa program at home (facial peel + vitamin treatment). It bubbles up nicely and I had to bring myself to a stop as I loved using the exfoliating side to cleanse my face ~ it is gentle but I can really feel how well it is exfoliating. If you have sensitive skin, use the smooth side only. After I finished scrubbing away, I flipped the pad over and then just finished cleansing my face with the soft bubbles and rinsed clean. My face felt really clean and looked bright after I used it ~ it did a great job with exfoliation. I think these would be great for traveling or quick weekend getaways ~ they are small, convenient and really do work.

This is a sleeping pack for me, and it contains shea butter, two types of vegetable waxes ~ candelilla and carnauba ~ with no beewax ~ it does have microcrystalline wax, but that is a product derived from petrolatum. It also has the powerful antioxidant of vitamin E and along with the same anti-oxidant, protecting and soothing botanical oils in their lip oil ~ sunflower, olive, jojoba, macadamia, argan, camellia, green tea, soybean, ginger, sea buckthorn, sweet almond and babassu. Once again, exfoliating lactic acid (AHA) for removing dead skin cells, leaving smoother skin behind, and anti-aging peptide to help aid in the renewal of skin cells. This has wintergreen extract in here, but this time, it doesn’t smell like mint, but apples! It smells like apple juice and has a slight waxy apple taste to it.  This is a sleeping pack for me, and it contains shea butter, two types of vegetable waxes ~ candelilla and carnauba ~ with no beewax ~ it does have microcrystalline wax, but that is a product derived from petrolatum.  However, despite being sticky, it isn’t that sticky ON my lips ~ the lip mask melts into my skin, using my body temperature and it absorbs nicely, just leaving behind enough to coat my lips for a good overnight treatment.  You don’t need a lot of this product either ~ just a tiny bit goes a long way to soothe, heal and protect my lips, leaving them super soft and smooth in the morning.  You can also use this as a day time lip balm if your lips really need some extra TLC.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This lip oil has a lot of nourishing. soothing and anti-oxidant botanical oils ~ sunflower, olive, jojoba, macadamia, argan, camellia, green tea, soybean, ginger, sea buckthorn, sweet almond and babassu. It also has vitamin E, which will also act as a moisturizing anti-oxidant, while AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) lactic acid will gently exfoliate your lips, removing dead skin cells and revealing new skin.  It also has an anti-aging peptide to help promote skin cell renewal. This has spearmint oil in it as well, which adds to the scent, while invigorating your lips with a slight, a very slight, tingle.

This has a nice doe foot applicator that doesn’t drip and it isn’t messy to remove from the bottle.  However, be careful twisting the cap back on the bottle ~ I twisted mine a bit too tight and it cracked. I used some of my Pusheen tape to tape it up and it works fine now with no leaks, but still!   The oil smells like spearmint, which is quite refreshing but it doesn’t have a minty taste, nor does it burn like a lip plumper.  Don’t use too much of this, as a little goes a long way ~ it is not sticky on my lips and adds a nice natural shine.  It does absorb into my lips after a while, but that is okay ~ I am not using this as a lip gloss, but as a lip treatment.  It does leave my lips feeling soft, plump and moisturized without any dryness and I am pleased to report this does not cause the skin around my lips to break out!  I was worried about that, with the oils and all.  This is a good prep step if you love to wear matte lippies ~ just let it absorb into your lips before you apply your matte lipsticks.   I also believe this is perfect for the upcoming summer months, as you want to have great lips

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This cream is recommended for oily, blemish prone and sensitive skin types, so if you find that your skin is irritated due to blemishes, rashes, sunburn, razor burn and/or laser procedures, I totally recommend this one. You can use this on other parts of the body besides your face ~ remember, a little bit goes a long way and you don’t need that much.  Plus, the beautiful blue color makes this a unique skincare item in my routine.

After using this for over a month and I do love it, I want to set expectations of what this cream does and does not do.  This is for healing skin problems like blemishes, sunburns, irritations and rashes.  And it does this very well ~ blemishes that have come to head or are angry red pimples really benefited from this cream ~  I found that it reduced the redness and swelling and also lessened the pain associated with those angry red zits, while helping heal my blemishes.  As it helps rapidly heal my blemishes before they can grow into something worse, the side effect is that I have less PIH scarring. I have used it on a burn on my arm, when I splashed some hot water on it by accident ~ it helped soothe and cool down that burn quickly.

What this isn’t for is preventative care.  I get some closed comedones around my chin, just baby bumps, and this does nothing for it.  This cream is for active skin issues, not issues-to-be.  This is also not a very moisturizing cream, nor does it make claims it is.  Wishtrend states “The Blue Cream is made for calming rather than moisturizing, to rapidly soothe the skin in response to an irritation.”  If you are looking to moisturize your skin, you will need to add an additional lotion or cream on top of this one.

I received a quartet of Bano's new Injection masks and I love Banobagi masks ~ they are so juicy and full of moisture. I decided to try the Water Glow first as the ingredients looked pretty good for oily skin ~ honey, tea tree, lemon, licorice, niacinamide & peppermint ~ looks to be an oil control mask with brightening properties! I was surprised when I opened up the package to see it was also a bamboo charcoalmask, which means it is a detox mask and will help remove dirt and impurities from you skin. It doesn't smell like any of the above ingredients (so sad), but more a very fresh, very light floral which does disappear quickly. This mask is soaked in a watery essence and the fit is pretty good too on my big face! I removed the mask after 40 minutes ~ I could have left it on for more ~ and my face felt very clean, very refreshed and looked less red and more bright, while my pores looked tighter in appearance. This is another great mask from Banobagi and it is very hydrating too without a sticky or tacky residue ~ the essence dries down quickly.

The name says it all ~ this lovely scented cucumber cleanser is soothing and gentle with a milky creaming texture. It is so soft and gentle, with green tea, soy and cucumbers ~ it is 97% natural and has a pH level of around 6. It isn't a foaming cleanser, but it does clean my face without leaving it dry or stripped.

The packaging on this mask is just adorable, with the chicken family (hen, chick, rooster) and the garden rakes with the earthworms in the ground with corn & wheat bundles. This is a limited edition mask from A'Pieu and I assume because it is the Year of the Rooster and this is an eggy filled mask! This mask is also a three layers, filled with rich essence, and it has beautiful honeycomb silver hologram foil ~ unlike the only foil I used before, this is does not make me feel all sweaty when I am wearing it, as it has "cells" so that your skin can "breath". This is one of the most coolest masks too ~ it is so science fiction and I feel like a robot warlord!! This has 5000ppm albumen extract to help refine your pores and brighten your skin ~ this is a brightening and pore refining mask, and it does contain niacinamide, licorice and mulberry, which all help brighten your skin tone. It also has 1000 ppm of hydrolyzed silk and 1000 ppb silver. When I remove the mask fro the package, there is so much of this watery essence, that it spills all over the place! But I still have a ton left in the package, so I will apply it over the mask and on my neck. The essence really didn't have a scent to it and the mask IS WOW.

The fit is really decent and it drapes nicely. I think the only part that I had issues with was the chin and that was because the piece that tucked under my chin kept flapping down. This mask sheet has some weight to it, but it feels wonderful on. The honeycomb pattern allows my skin to breath and not get all sweaty and trapped like the last foil mask I used. Again, look at that holographic silver foil ~ it is so pretty!

After 50 minutes, I removed the mask and saw an immediate brightening effect on my skin. My skin was a little tacky from the essence, but after 5-8 minutes, the essence did dry down and my skin felt soft and smooth, and looked so bright! Two thumbs up ~ if you can find this mask, buy it!! This mask is courtesy of Althea

I received this lightweight fluid lotion from @0.8L_USA. This is by the brand Reskin, which I have tried their cleansing oil. Nice to Monaco describes this skincare product as "Feel like walking with cool sea breeze in the beach of the Mediterranean", which alas, I was not instantly transported to Cote d'Azur. Let's get the bad stuff out of the way - wow. stinky perfume scent. I don't think that the beaches of Cote d'Azur smell like this! It lingers too... disgusting. But the fluid itself? NICE. Really sweet. It is so lightweight that its gel-like texture starts to melt to a watery fluid when it comes in contact with my skin. It glides on smoothly, doesn't leave a sticky feel on my skin and really hydrates nicely. This is supposed to be a brightening fluid, with lavender and pomegranate seed oil, to help heal and make your skin more elastic and firm. It also has a "berry blossom complex" made from lime, peach, apple, orange, sweet cherry and pomegranate blossoms ~ which alas, this doesn't smell like. I am not going to continue with this to find out if it lightens and brightens and this would be an amazing lightweight summer skincare product for me, but they ruined it with the artificial strong perfume scent.

107 OneOSeven Premium White Soap ~ I received this soap courtesy of  oneoseven but I have tried this soap before ~ I had purchased one last fall and that is when I fell in love with 107 soaps! Since I have used this before, I can tell you a bit about it and my opinion. this is made with cosmetic grade vinegar that has been naturally fermented for over 5 years. It contains 20 Asian medicine herbs, known for their rejuvenating and hydrating properties. Their soaps also contain coconut oil, which is rich in vitamins and minerals ~ vitamins C, E, B1, B3, B5 and B6, iron, phosphorus, calcium ~ and natural proteins which help soothe and moisturize your skin. It helps add moisturize back to dry skin, leaving it smooth and glowing. Its vitamins C and copper will enhance your skin elasticity, so that it can prevent wrinkles, sagging skin and hyper-pigmentation. It also has natural essential fatty acids that soothe and treat dry skin. Vinegar is a natural anti fungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory and it will help restore the pH balance to your skin. It contains acetic acid and is known to kill off bacteria and reduce acne. By restoring pH balance to your skin, it will help make your skin inhospitable for bacteria as well, while helping your skin create essential proteins and fatty acids. The vinegar used in these products are from wheat grown in the Gurye region in Korea ~ why is this interesting? The Gurye region grows its wheat completely free of agricultural chemicals and it is processed free from preservatives and bleaches.

So, whew. I love this soap because it is so foamy and really gives my skin a great cleanse ~ the foam is so soft and bubbly and the soap doesn't smell like vinegar at all ~ it just smells fresh and clean. This does have a pH level of about a 9, but I do not have compromised or dry skin, so I have no worries using this. Handmade soap is naturally alkaline and its pH level can range from 8.5 to 10.5 and that doesn't mean it is necessarily harsh.  This soap does not leave my skin feeling dry or stripped, just clean and moisturized. I hope to try some more soaps from their line, as I only have tried this and the lemon version.

I honestly believe this has had a huge effect in keeping my blemishes away and calming my skin. I had stopped it for a while to introduce other products and I can tell the different from when I was using it ~ clearer skin, more smooth. It seems to boost other skincare products and their benefits while making sure my skin is not compromised. I know that sounds funny, but I can really see the difference when I use this product. I didn’t have “booster” serum in my skincare routine before the Hanyul Optimizing Serum and I think this is the only one I want. I love the scent (a floral-pine), I love the packaging, I love how hydrating and refreshing it is on my skin plus the added benefits of it seems to help keep my blemishes and redness under control. If you are sensitive to alcohol, I do not recommend this product, but if you don’t have issues with it, I highly recommend this.

Oily skinned gals (and guys) rejoice!!  I purchased this big ol' tub of herbal goodness and WOW. WOW. WOW. DIY (well, it is pre-powdered made, so it is DIY like tossing a frozen dinner in the microwave is "cooking") scrubbing Hanbang goodness ~ this is a light green, finely milled powder with lots of traditional asian ingredients, plus MOONSTONE   I guess moonstone is to help bring a youthful glow, which at my age, I do need it!! I mixed mine with water and then applied it on my face. It does smell like earthy herbs and tea .I left it on for about 5 minutes and then massaged it around my nose, chin & forehead, rinsed off with warm water. My pores - nonexistent. Any blackheads and dark ugly gunk stuck in those now-gone pores - clean as a whistle (what does that mean, anyway?) My skin felt so soft and smooth and my nose, which is usually an oil slick, felt NORMAL. Now, I will say that if you have sensitive oily skin, just apply the mask and then rinse off with out massaging it, as this is a scrub and you might not care for the feeling. I didn't find it to be harsh on my skin, but I could feel it. Also, you could use an oil (cleansing or otherwise) to the scrub instead of water, and that would make it more gentle. This scrub can also be used on your body skin too, to help smooth off rough spots. It is A HUGE tube, so I might just be doing that! I do love this scrub

Mitomo Royal Jelly Cherry Blossoms Essence Mask (Japan)  This mask is a nice plush natural cotton and fits very well despite the nose coming up a bit short. It has a sticky essence to it, which made me look to see if there was snail slime in it ~ nope! Just some really moisturizing ingredients and it smells.like.cherry.blossoms!!  This mask is a clarifying and brightening one ~ cherry blossom (Sakura) has anti-oxidant and skin repair properties and royal jelly will add moisture to your skin, firm and tone the elasticity and also help minimize the appearance of pores. After 35 minutes, I removed the mask and yes ~ my skin is noticeably brighter and my pores are tighter and smaller looking around my nose! The essence is a bit tacky but dries down, leaving my skin hydrated.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This is from  L'Herboflore Party Sweetheart series.  This mask has black tea, lactic acid and yeast fermented extracts that will not only brighten your skin tone, but improve dullness. This is a purifying and oil/water balance mask due to willow bark and horse chestnut extracts as well. As my face is having a pimple party, this was an obvious choice. Lots of watery essence in this pouch ~ and it doesn't smell like sweet tea :( It has a bitter scent to it, which is probably due to the willow and lactic acid ingredients. This is a very thin mask, but not so thin that I tear it and it doesn't stretch out of shape. I immediately feel a cooling and soothing sensation, which from the cucumber and chamomile extracts.

After 35 minutes, I removed the mask ~ I didn't notice brightening right away, but I did notice that my skin felt cool, my pores looked smaller and my face didn't look oily. One thing I love about a lot of Taiwanese masks is that they leave almost a matte finish to my oily skin. Within a few minutes, however, I did notice that my skin tone looked brighter ~ I guess it was a delayed reaction! lol Despite not smelling like sweet tea, I am really happy with this mask and its results.

This is a soothing mud mask made that has both green tea and tea tree extracts, so it will have a good anti-septic and soothing properties to it, as well as the detox from the kaolin, bentonite, sea silt and volcanic ash ~ 4 earthy muddy materials. The mask comes in this huge package and is sandwiched between thick plastic sheets. This is a two piece mask, but since it is a mud mask and the mask is thicker, it will be easy to apply and adhere to my face. It is green, not a lot of moisture with this one ~ I am comparing to the Earth Kiss mud masks, which have more moisture ~ and the scent is a clay-floral scent. Not bad, but nothing amazing either. It fits pretty well and if you have a longer nose, you will find ample coverage ~ it makes sense that the nose area would be fully covered as mud masks are for detox and unclogging pores. After 30 minutes, I peeled off this mask and there was a light green hue all over my skin (mud residue). You have to rinse off the mud mask residue (don't leave it on) and I did notice that my pores were clean and seemed smaller in appearance. However, would I repurchase this mask again? No, for a mud mask, I will get Earth Kiss ~ those are fabulous and they smell amazing too.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

this is a new brand to me and was supplied for review purposes from beautibi. This patented facial mask is made with natural, fermented coconut fruit water and it is not only a brightening mask, but soothes and removes impurities from your pores. This mask is a very thin bio cellulose, which Wishing U calls "dry". It is sandwiched between two very thin paper protectors and the first thing I noticed was the scent. It is glorious. It smells like summer, on the beach with tons of coconuts freshly cracked open with that wonderful cream. Speaking of cream, the essence on this mask is thick and creamy, almost like a lotion. I did have a bit of a hard time peeling the 2nd paper bit off, as it was so thin, but I did succeed! The fit is a bit smallish for my huge face, but it works out okay and there was enough essence left over in the package, that I added more on my cheeks and all over my neck. After 30 minutes, I removed the mask ~ it is now very thin, very dry and it peels right off, taking gunk with it! I guess that is what removes the dirt from my pores!  My face looked brighter, very moisturized without feeling tacky and my blemishes (I am suffering thru some horrid hormonal and stress zits right now) were less red and swollen. This is a great night time mask, due to its moisturizing properties

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

I have used 2 SoYou masks so far and I have liked them both ~ I think that if one works for you, the other will as well, as so far, I am noticing that the ingredient is the same with the exception of the key ingredient. In this case, it is green tea and SoYou claims that they use the "most exceptional quality baby green tea leaves. Manually squeezed to preserve the natural antioxidant, catechin, used to control sebum and transform oily skin into soft, rehydrated skin". Manually squeezed? Poor baby tea leaves and fingers too! Anywho, this 100% cotton mask is very wet with a lovely watery essence that has a nice faint scent of tea and the fit is the same as the Tea Tree one I used ~ the thin material has a huge fit ~ the eye sockets are huge but the nose area is small. In fact, I stretched it out of shape around my nose and mouth area, that is how thin these masks are. I would say they need to improve the mask fit and put some more thought in the shape of it. Other than that, the reason why I wanted to use the green tea version is because of oil control and also, I irritated my skin while testing out the Scinic pore mask and wanted to calm my skin. After removing this mask, my face felt hydrated, not as oily and the reddened areas around my temples were soothed and calmed. Despite the fit of the mask, I am enjoying this series from SoYou, who supplied them to me for review purposes.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This mask has a cool texture to it ~ it is thin, but not delicate, no worries about ripping this one ~ it comes protected with both the plastic white "pearl" paper and a blue paper, with this mask sandwiched in-between. The texture is a weave, mesh ~ hard to describe, but you can tell it has texture ~ it is not a plush mask, but it is comfortable and soft. It has a ton of watery essence in the package and I just splash that over the mask once applied. Let's talk about the fit.  It is a huge mask, but the openings are strange. The eyes holes seem to be made for folks with really close set eyes, as there was room on the side of my nose next to my eyes, but at the outer corner of my eyes, this mask cut in so close. Also,  my lids are covered completely and this mask came RIGHT up to my lower lash line!! Well, gotta hydrate that skin too. The nose fit was great and the philtrum (area between nose and upper lip) is completely covered. It came up right under my nose and covered part of my upper lip and the mask is comes right up under my lower lip too!

I did feel a bit claustrophobic, but after complaining ALL THE TIME about how my philtrum was never covered, I was also thrilled to see this. I guess in the future (as I have a couple more of these masks) I will do a little snipping around the eyes to get a better fit. Okay, now did this perform? I was able to leave this on for 30 minutes, which is great for a thinner mask and this essence was completely absorbed into my skin, so no dewy or sticky residue. My face felt hydrated and cool, and I noticed some brightening too! It isn't a fancy mask with fancy ingredients ~ it is a hydrating and moisturizing mask that performs its job ~ it promised to enhance my skin hydration instantly and it did! I quite like this mask a lot ~ from the mesh/weave texture, the essence, the strange but interesting fit and its results.

I received the full line of Power Rangers...err Power Ringer masks from 0.8L_usa for review purposes. I had tried the Vita Deep and I didn't care for that one too much as it left my face really sticky and I broke out the next morning. I used the Centella Asiatica one this morning and this one is MUCH better! Centella Asiatica is a common herbal ingredient that is used medicinally to help speed up wound healing, such as blemishes and skin rashes. It also helps minimize the appearance of pores, and since it stimulates collagen production, it will make your skin more supple and firm. Here we go! I learned that the key to these masks is to gently unfold them. If you are rushed, what will happen is that it will stretch out to unbelievable shapes, as it is so thin and wet with essence. Since I took my time with unfolding it, it isn't as stretched out around the eyes and mouth and the fit is much better. This one has a watery-gel essence and smells slightly like citrus to me. This has some great blemish and oil busting ingredients along with the Centella Asiatica ~ green tea, houttuynia cordata and witch hazel, plus some fermented rice and soybean extracts. When I removed the mask, my skin was damp but it did dry down without any tackiness. I have been suffering thru hormonal breakouts lately and my skin was soothed and refreshed. I love centella extracts as it really helps soothe and heal blemishes, and I do have a few skincare products with that ingredient! I will say this is one mask I would purchase

I received the full line of Elizavecca Deep Power Ringer Masks from 0.8L usa and Elizavecca for review purposes.  I tried the Vita Deep one last night ~ the Vita Deep will provide intensive moisture and nutrition to my skin and will leave my skin radiant and smooth.   It contains fruit and vegetable extracts, along with vitamin E and C. I was warned that this mask had huge eyeholes and wow, they wasn't kidding!  I should have worn eye gels, but I forgot to grab them ~ next time.  This was a really drippy wet mask with tons of thick gel-like essence in the package and I didn't notice a scent.  The fit was huge BUT it still was lacking in the nose and between the nose and upper lip area.  What is that narrow area called anyway?  I was able to leave this on for 35 to 40 minutes and then removed.  My face was still pretty moist and the essence is very tacky to touch.  In fact, even after an hour, my face was still a bit sticky.  This is one very moisturizing mask and it doesn't dry down that well.  Thankfully, I used it at night, so I wasn't worried about the sticky residue ~ however, when I woke up this morning, I noticed a few white heads had cropped up around my nose ~ nothing bad, just those ones that you can easy pop by rubbing your finger over them.  But still.. this mask did cause me to break out and I do think it was too dewy and too rich for my skin.  I am sad because the ingredient list is amazing, but there was just something about this mask that didn't agree with my skin.

I really love this toner and it does remind me a lot of Olivarrier Dual Moist Toning Lotion. When I purchased a nightcare kit at Wishtrend, this was the product that I thought I would not like and be too rich and heavy for my skin. Well, guess again! I really enjoyed this toner ~ it is not a thin watery toner, but has a viscosity and is thicker. It reminds me a lot of Secret Key’s Milk Toner in how it performs on my skin ~ not the texture or scent, which this product doesn’t really have a scent. It has natto gum (fermented soybeans), sodium hyaluronate and beta-glucan, which are very moisturizing ingredients that contain anti-aging properties as well. It also has panthenol (a moisturizer), which explains the “slip” in the texture for this toner. Full of soothing and brightening plant extracts, this is really a nice toner and moisturized my face, without stripping it or causing me to break out. I thought, as an oily skinned gal, that this toner would be a nightmare for my face, and in fact, it is a complete RAVE for me. It is supposed to balance the pH level in your face as well and I tested it as a pH level of 5. If I ever finish with all of my growing stashes of toners, this is one that I would repurchase.

Facial primers: I have always had a love-hate relationship with facial primers. I know I should use them, as they will help with applying my makeup (my t-zone is the WORST ~ everything slides around), smooth over my pores and some are mattifying. However, either the primers I love are way too expensive OR I break out like crazy. Also, my oil breaks thru all the time and it is an extra step in my morning routine and who has the time for that? I saw this pretty ~Mineral Fusion Mattifying Primer with Kaolin Clay~ at Whole Foods a few weeks ago and decided, oh why not. I was going on vacation (no biggie, just back home) and figured I would test it out and if I broke out, well, my family wasn’t going to care. This is actually really good. I mean, REALLY good. This is a lightweight, silky smooth primer made for oily skin, so it is mattifying. It also smooths over my pores and “fills” them in and I didn’t break out where I applied this. I did have zits, but that had nothing to do with this product as those started before I began using this. I always get vacation-stress zits. This toned down any redness I had from my blemishes too. Also, I noticed that my foundation stayed on nicely where I applied this ~ one of my problems with my massive skin care regime is that my mattifying products aren’t MATTE anymore as I now have a nice hydrated and dewy canvas – haha. So, my foundation also slides around a bit on my t-zone as that is dewy and oily and I have to use a brush to really blend it in. That didn’t happen with this product and my foundation was smooth and neat looking (and I just used my fingers!) And finally, whereas my matte makeup didn’t stay matte forever, my t-zone didn’t look as oily after several hours ~ even after shopping for a couple of hours, my foundation still looked nice and satiny. That clay made a huge difference! This bottle was $21.00 at Whole Foods and is gluten free, 100% vegan, paraben free, cruelty free, artificial color free, phthalate free and hypo-allergenic. The only complaint I have is the design of the bottle ~ the pump is kinda wonky at times and I worry that I won’t be able to get the last drop of this primer out of the bottle when the time comes. Have you tried any Mineral Fusion products before? I am like a kid at the candy store in their beauty section ~ eco-friendly organic skincare is my first love!! P.S  You can also find this at Target!

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This is a toner, not a lotion, and it has some fantastic ingredients in it ~ triple hyaluronic acid to help keep my skin moist and hydrated, plus squalane, made from olives ~ which will help protect and repair my skin. It also has ceramides, broccoli and camellia extracts, all of which are very good for your skin ~ full of antioxidants and anti-aging properties. This toner is pH “balanced” for those who are interested in that. It is odorless and it has a nice viscosity to it, even though it is a watery toner. It just feels more “solid” ~ thicker than water. My skin just soaks this up and my face feels moist and hydrated. No breakouts, just a really hydrating and soothing product for my skin. You can also use this in place of an essence if you layer this toner 2 to 3 times on your face. It can be used as a facial mist too.  This does remind me a lot of Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner in terms of its hydrating and nourishing properties.

So, this is an ampoule pad that is supposed to deliver the concentrated ampoule essence to your skin, with maximized absorption.  It has 10% vitamin C (ascorbic acid) that will help brighten your skin tone. I only received one of these from Jolse for review purposes,  so I can only give you an initial impression.  This is a 2 sided pad, where one side is more rough with the loop for your fingers ~ or in my case, finger, as I have fat fingers and couldn't really put two fingers in the loop without damaging the pad :(  The other side is silky smooth and you use this side to press the ampoule serum into your skin This pad is soaked with the serum, it is very wet ~ it is also very much an alcohol scent, which if you dislike alcohol in your skincare products, steer clear of this one!  I am a bit confused about why a moisturizing ampoule has alcohol so far up the list of ingredients and reeks of it?  Normally, alcohol is for oily/blemish skincare (hmmm) The pad was awkward to use as the loop was too small for me to stabilize it and the essence was really slippery and slick, so I had to use my thumb to hold it in place.   My skin was a bit sticky afterwards, but it is dry down to a very dewy finish, so despite the alcohol in this, I didn't find it drying at all.  Thankfully, I used this at night, as my face was very shiny!  Other than that, I didn't see any noticeable results, as it is just one pad.  What do I think about these?  I do like the individual packaging as I love these types of pads in general ~ my favorite is  Neogen Code 9 Lemon  ~  but those huge jars are not travel friendly ~ this is very travel friendly and keeps your ampoule pads moist and fresh until you need them. That said, I wasn't overly impressed with this ampoule pad and would not purchase them.  I would for Neogen if they came out with these individual packets for traveling!

I love my cleansing waters and own several of them ~ and usually have a few open at the same time!  This is part of illi's Total Aging Care line, which includes cleansers and lotions.  I am a fan of their foaming cleanser and lotions and I have used the oil cleanser but prefer illi Deep Cleansing Oil, so I am familiar with this line.  illi is part of the Pacific Amore family and it has a lovely, light refreshing floral scent that is supposed to be ginseng flowers ~ I have never smelled ginseng flowers, so I cannot say if that is  true or not.  This anti-oxidant rich cleanser uses oriental herbs to help not only cleanse, but also has skincare properties:  green tea will help soothe and fight free radicals, ginseng will improve your skin’s elasticity, natto gum (fermented soy bean) will moisturize and hydrate your skin,  camellia will smooth your skin as it is rich in vitamins A, B and E. This cleansing water removes my makeup and oil pretty nicely (stubborn eye liner & mascara aside) and it leaves my  skin nicely hydrated.  This has a pH balance of between a 5 and 6, so it is mildly acidic.  I love using cleansing waters first thing in the morning, to remove the remains of my night skincare products and when I get home from work, to remove the oil, dirt and grime from the day.  My bottle is almost gone, but I did purchase a backup!!

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

As with many things in life, I am driven by scent.  Scent plays a huge role if I love an item or hate it ~ it could be the same exact thing with one difference ~ how it smells.  Which brings me to this peeling gel by I Am Sorry Just Cleansing B-Lab Natural Cleansing Peeling Gel.  It is amazing. Truly, wonderful, beautiful!  It is a true peeling gel as it does form those "balls" on your skin, but if you try to rub it on a slick surface, like a plate, it won't ball up.  Those "balls" are the carbomer ingredients, which is the clumping material needed to trap and bind excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells together and gently remove them from your face, leaving behind  fresh, glowing skin.  This also is a true peeling gel as it has 3 different types of AHA’s ~ lactic, citric and glycolic acids ~ to exfoliate and brighten your skin. It contains have glycerin which is a hydrating humectant and it does have a pH level of a 3, making it low enough to work both as chemical exfoliant and a physical exfoliant.  This also has salicylic acid (BHA), which also unclogs pores and oils, along with antibiotic propolis, anti-aging royal jelly, firming and repairing snail slime, antioxidant green tea and soothing & astringent witch hazel.  Sounds great, right?  Why this is my current HG of peeling gels ~ This stuff smells damn amazing.  Seriously. It is pine scented with just a hint of lavender. I don’t know why it smells like pine as it doesn’t have any pine ingredients in the list, but WOW, it smells great. I also love soft and refined my skin is after use. I feel that it actually is more hydrating than many peeling gels I have used, due to the snail filtrate, propolis and royal jelly ingredients ~ I can feel how moisturized my skin is by touching it after I use this peeling gel.  I first purchased this back in October  and have purchased another one since then, as that is how much I love it.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This has a beautiful design with the iris and edelweiss flowers. This mask has some very cool ingredients, designed to help moisturize, reduce the appearance of fine lines and refine your skin texture, tightening pores.

  • Bee Venom (I love this stuff!!)  is called Nature’s Botox and it stimulates and increases collagen product and elastic to smooth your skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, plump and tone our skin.  It does this because applying bee venom to your skin fools your skin into thinking it has been stung and it will increase blood circulation to that area
  • Honey has antibacterial properties, that can speed up healing in your skin ~ think acne, rashes, cuts ~ and prevent additional infection. Not only does honey keep moisture in your skin, but it is humectant, which means it attracts moisture too! Honey is also an antioxidant, which means it helps repair and combat any damage caused by free radicals and prevents premature wrinkling.
  • Iris Root is rich in flavonoids and nutrients that have anti-aging benefits.  It will help protect and strengthen your skin barrier and reduce fine lines and wrinkles
  • Edelweiss also has a high concentration of flavonoids as well as phenolic acid. These ingredients help combat UV sun damage and protect our skin.  It is full of antioxidants which makes this an ideal anti-aging ingredient and it acts as an anti-inflammatory.
  • Salicylic Acid will help exfoliate dead skin cells and is an anti-inflammatory
  • Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a neuropeptide, so it helps retain moisture/water to your skin and relaxes your facial muscles, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.  As an aside, if you have sagging skin, you should use this ingredient sparingly as it could cause your skin to sag further.  It is okay in a facial sheet mask, but don’t try and purchase a cream with this as one of its top ingredients.

This is a black charcoal mask as well, so it will help absorb excess oil. The fit is decent enough as I did find it ran a bit on the smaller size ~ I noticed this around my nose and chin area.  Unlike the other Annie's Way masks I have tried, this mask is not as thin nor as wet as they are, but it is still pretty moist.  It had a light scent to it, but nothing unpleasant.  I left this on for 45 minutes and it was still slightly damp when I removed it.  I did notice that my skin looked brighter, my pores cleaner and tighter and my skin was nicely hydrated and plumped up with no sticky or tacky residue.  This dried down quickly without any dewiness.   I highly recommend Annie's Way products as I think they are very effective for the price point.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This is my second item from Make P:rem and it is a wash off clay mask/foaming cleanser.  I have tried several different brands with this concept and it is fantastic ~ if you are on a budget or traveling, this is a 2-in-1 one product that is great for those of use with oily skin or blemish prone skin!  This is a very soft clay mask that is easy to squeeze out of the tube ~ too easy in fact as I had too much on my face this morning.  It has a light pleasant smell ~ I am not sure if it is floral or not, but I wasn't put off by it.  The instructions say to leave on for only 3 to 5 minutes and it doesn't seem to dry down hard or tight, very comfortable.  I rinsed off in the shower, massaging it around and yes, it does foam up!!  After rinsing clean, my skin did feel very hydrated and moisturized due to the argan oil, ceramide and squalene ingredients ~ it had the same effect on my skin as the In-Shower Face Mask that I used last week.  I will say it did a fairly decent job cleaning out my pores, but it wasn't WOWZA.  I could still see some gunk on my nose.  My face did look brighter and felt smooth, not dry or stripped.  Is this worth the $$?  At an expensive shop, it is $30.00. Do not spend thirty bucks on this.

So I tried it out again, but this time, I took someone's advice and left it on for longer ~ about 25 minutes. This soft clay mask never really dries down hard, but it will dry down. It was not uncomfortable at all but it did take a bit more effort to rinse off, so I used my pore brush. The pore brush not only helps break up the mask, but it really creates more foam as this isn't just a clay mask, but a foaming cleanser too! I have to say, keeping it on longer made a huge difference. I had complained that it didn't fully clean more pores with the 3 to 5 minute recommended wait time, but with the longer wait time, it really did clean out my pores. No gunk this time! My face felt smooth and soft, refreshed and brighter. However... my face did sting a bit (a reaction?) so I think I will keep it on for 15 minutes the next time and see if that cuts down on the stinging. I don't have sensitive skin, but maybe I did leave it on a bit too long.

I received this mask from SoYou Cosmetics. I have oily, blemish prone skin and I love tea tree so I am interested in tea tree anything!   A lot. I even wrote a mega blog post of tea tree items this past summer, that is how much I love this ingredient.  SoYou masks are made with 100% pure cotton, which I do prefer over hydrogels (yeah, I am weird, I don't care for hydros that much).  This mask didn't smell like tea tree, so for those who don't care for TT scent, don't worry ~ this has a light fresh scent to it.   Tea Tree is amazing as it has natural anti-bacterial, anti-fungal healing properties that help heal existing blemishes and prevent new ones. This also contains centellia asiatica, which is also fantastic for oily/blemish prone skin.  All of SoYou masks are made without parabens, silicon oil, talc, sulfates, benzophenone, artificial dyes and trienthanol.  The mask is pretty wet but there isn't a lot of essence left over in the bag ~ which is fine, as the mask itself has enough on it.  As you can tell in the photo, it is pretty thin for a Korean mask, and it  adheres great on my skin. The fit is unusual ~ the eye holes are way to big, so the next time I use a SoYou mask, I will add some eye gels for that area and the chin area really extends under my chin.  So, these masks will fit a larger face pretty comfortably.  Smaller faces might feel a bit overwhelmed!  I left this on for 35 minutes and I could have gone longer, but time was a-ticking and had to  get to work. I removed the mask and I am happy to say that my face felt hydrated without any sticky or tacky residue, soft, my pores looked 'smaller' and my skintone looked less red (cold weather+zits=red face)  (antiphlogistic means anti-inflammatory  ~ I had to look that up! haha)

The serum is in a plastic tube and has a nice pointed nozzle applicator.  This is very easy to use and I do have to watch how much comes out as it does flow nicely.  The Balancer serum is a lightweight gel, that has a very faint herbal scent to it ~ nothing strong.   It looks a bit milky when it comes out initially, but as I spread it on my skin, it melts like water and is clear.   The initial sensation is very cooling and soothing and as it is absorbed into my skin,  it will dry down to a semi-matte finish.  I can immediately feel how soft and silky my skin is where this is applied, with no roughness.

My skin feels hydrated, but not dewy.  As I am VERY oily skinned around my T-Zone, I put this to the test on my nose, forehead and chin areas this past week.   After letting this product dry down, I applied my foundation over it.  Normally, my oil starts to break thru my foundation within less than an hour  ~that is how strong my oil is!!  However, when I use this, it takes hours before I see an oily sheen on my nose and forehead and then I just dust some powder over it and it is fine again.   If your skin is less oily than me, this might last longer on your skin.

My skin never feels dried out when I use this and my makeup doesn’t go on cakey ~ BUT I have to remember to let this dry completely on my skin before applying my foundation as it will not adhere properly to my skin.  I think this is normal behavior for a primer.   I have not experienced any clogged pores or breakouts where I used this serum.

It’s Skin Power 10 Effectors can be hit or miss for me -   I have used a few of them in the past, with only one standout ~ the Propolis serum, which was very nice and moisturizing.  The other two that I used, WH and Syn-ake, did not work for me at all ~ WH did not brighten or even out my skin tone and Syn-ake was too intensely moisturizing and sticky for my oily skin. In this case, with the WR, which is for anti-wrinkle care,  I think that the WR Effector is a hit with me, as it does do pretty much what it claims to do ~ it softens fine lines and wrinkles, hydrates and makes my skin more supple.  It absorbs nicely into my skin without any tacky or sticky residue and it acts like a facial oil, without the shine (dewiness).  I think that for oily skin, you just need to target those areas where you are not too oily or blemish prone and it will work just fine ~ like it did with my cheeks, neck and eye area.  If you have combination or dry skin, I would think you can use this all over your face, as it really does hydrate and moisturize!

I love the packaging too ~ the glass bottle is really nicely designed and I love that It’s Skin uses colors to differentiate between the serums.  It is also very inexpensive for a 30 mL so if it doesn’t work for you, you aren’t out $40.00 to $60.00 ~ I know I have tried some very expensive products that did nothing for my skin.  My only complaint is the scent ~ I wish skincare brands would stop with the perfume scent.  So, out of the 4 It’s Skin Power 10 Effectors I have tried, it is a 50-50 split on effectiveness and I do put this one, the WR Effector Serum in the “It works well” category for me.  It isn't a holy grail product, but for the price point and its moisturizing capabilities, it works well enough.

Make P:rem In-Shower Face Mask  This is a honey colored jelly that has a floral-herbal scent ~ it is light and not overpowering. I applied this after I washed my face and did some exfoliation with a scrub.  Then slathered this jelly on my face and went about the business of showering.  They said this wouldn't drip or slide off your face and that is correct! My biggest issue was trying not to wipe my face while it was on, but it did not come off voluntarily.  You are supposed to leave this on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse off.  I rinsed it off after 20 minutes ~ I took a LONG shower today ~ and massaged it around my face while rinsing ~ it does not come off with a quick swipe, you do have to use your hands to remove. I looked in my shower mirror (yes, I have one and you should too!! It really helps me gauge if I got the product completely off my face or if I want to inspect my pores, etc).  I could tell immediately that this is a moisturizing product ~ my face looked like I had put something on it besides water.  It wasn't filmy or anything like that, just that I could see the moisture from the product on my wet skin ~ and it did absorb nicely into my skin as it dried down.  My face felt very hydrated and soft, very clean.  So, did this product "create a hydrating barrier to brighten, soften and smooth skin"?  I would say yes, it did.  I would also say that I don't have 20 minutes to keep a mask on in the shower ~ this is AFTER you wash your face and if you want to exfoliate, you do need to do this before you apply this mask ~ otherwise, you will lose the benefits of it at exfoliation time. It is supposed to be a time saver in the morning, but I don't think so.  I think it adds more time in my routine as my shower is longer. I think that this mask is great for if you take a bath and can just sit back and read a book or something for 20 minutes.  That is the con of this mask, plus its price ~ it is $36.00 at Glow Recipe, but if you can do a group haul, you can get it for as low as $19.20 at amazon.  Even by itself, it is $25.00 at amazon, which is still a huge savings.

Peel? Resurfacer? Fermented Pumpkin? Lactic Acid? Count me in! On the surface, this product sounds amazing!! It has fermented pumpkin extract, which contains enzymes that will help with gentle skin exfoliation and reduce fine lines & wrinkles. It also has AHA in lactic acid, to help smooth and refine your skin, encouraging cellular turnover, along with vitamin A. I have used this a few times now and I will say this is nothing more than a really wonderfully pumpkin pie scented micro-dermabrasion scrub for oily skin. I would never recommend this for dry or even combo skin, as this stuff is very drying and I have oily skin! The first time I used it, I used it all over my face and left it on for 5 minutes. I thought my skin had spent several years in the desert, it was so dry looking and on top of that, my skin was also red and sensitive ~ I had a stinging reaction just putting a toner on :( I was scared to try it again, but I did ~ this time only on my T-Zone (nose, chin & part of my forehead) and I only left it on my skin for 3 minutes. That was much better!! This scrub really cleaned out my pores, so they looked tight and invisible, while smoothing out my skin. Because I didn't leave it on my face for as long, my skin wasn't dried out. I will use it, as I think it is a good product for my pores (and I already have it) but I won't repurchase it.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

I have been using this cleansing water for several months now and it is almost gone!!   love cleansing waters and wipes as they allow me to quickly remove makeup, oil and the daily grime from my face when I get home from work or first thing in the morning, to remove all of the residue from my night care products. This cleansing water from TonyMoly is made with fermented tea leaves (10,000ppm), which go through a one year, natural fermentation process ~ green tea is a great antioxidant which also acts as an anti-inflammatory. This has a very watery texture (some cleansing waters have weird thing going on, like being carbonated, this one does not) and it smells wonderful. I do not smell any green tea, but citrus ~ it cleanses thoroughly while leaving my face feeling hydrated and refreshed. This has a pH level of between 4.5 and 5, so if you are looking for a lower pH level cleansing water, this is a great one to try. Will I repurchase? I have several cleansing waters right now but if TonyMoly doesn't discontinue this, yes I will. It is pretty inexpensive at around $10.00 for a 300mL bottle at eBay and works really well. I like this a lot better than Innisfree Green Tea Cleaning Water as that one has a very strong floral scent.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

In the photo, I am also masking with the amazing Manyo Factory Active Refresh Herb Pack Mask (the green mask ~ courtesy of Melody Cosmetics) as (a) it IS fantastic and (b) I need to finish it off!  This product was hyped bigly and gushed about its performance and scent. As I am blemish prone and new ingredients are really cool to me (cuttlefish powder!!), I had been eyeing this item for a while, but couldn't justify its steep price tag ~ until W2Beauty had a 25% off sale on selected Troiareuke items. So I have used this twice now and several times as a spot treatment, so I am going to tell you how I feel about it. Meh. Okay. It is just okay ~ if it were a $10.00, it would be a great deal, but at $75.00, nope. It is a thick, creamy and sticky mask from a tube that does not smell beautiful to me ~ it is floral/baby powder and I gagged at the scent. But hey, if this product works as it claims too ~ skin toning, anti-inflammatory, pore tightening, cleans out pores and removes excess oil ~ I would be happy.

So, this mask does dry down but it is not uncomfortable, nor does it make my skin feel itchy (but it does stink of grandma perfume - no offense to grandma's) I rinsed it off with warm water. Welp. My pores did not look "tighter" or smaller and yes, I know that there isn't anything that will make your pores shrink in size, but it is the appearance, yes? I have had clay masks make my pores look invisible and this one did not do that. I did not think it cleaned out my pores that well either, because I saw a couple of pores look BIGGER with gunk in it. I was able to easily extract that gunk by just pressing down near the edge of the pore, so I will say that this mask brings the crap to the surface nicely and makes extraction easy. I have used this as a spot treatment on some blemishes overnight and it does seem to do that as well as reduce swelling and inflammation on pimples. So, in that case, this is a good product to bring your dirt and crap to the surface while reducing inflammation. BUT... darn, this is a pricey product for doing that. I didn't feel that my skin felt different (the texture wasn't smoother ~ maybe my skin is already smooth?) nor did I feel that it did any "skin toning".

I will use this as it is so expensive, but I will not repurchase. For my skin type ~ oily, blemish prone, not sensitive ~ I didn't feel it did a good job for its price point. Maybe this is better for drier or sensitive skin

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

I purchased this mask a month or so ago and I have used it a few times.  I am a huge fan of Olivarrier Dual Moist Toning Lotion and decided to give another item from their line a try.  This mask has big chunks of seeds in it, but they are smooth and flat, so I do not find them to exfoliate very well. This is made with white Amazonian clay and it never really dries down, so it stays creamy.  However, I do not like how my skin feels after I rinse the mask off.  It is almost like a film is left on my face ~ not oily, but just filmy and my skin feels like it does need to be washed with a cleanser.   I also felt that it didn't exfoliate well and it might have been too gentle for my oily skin.   I might have recommended this for dry skin types, except for that filmy feeling.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This cleanser has a pH level of between 5.5 to 6. This does smell like tea tree oil, so if you hate that smell, you might wish to avoid it.  Fortunately, I like tea tree scents, so this does not bother me.   I do think that this is a cleanser that blemish-prone and oily skinned folks should consider, despite the scent.   Not only does this have tea tree oil, which is anti-bacterial, it also has willow bark extract, which is an astringent and both of these ingredients help control the oil (sebum) in your skin as well.  This is not thick foam, but a very light foam and it really cleans my face well without making it feel dry or tight.

Performance:    Ciracle is  “runny” in texture and strong in its scent, but it really does remove my makeup quite well and it isn't drying at all.  It helps keep my face clear of excess oil and blemishes.

This is one of 2 Holy Grail cleansers for me.  I use this all the time during the summer months

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This has a tea tree scent to it ~ I’ve heard people describe it as pine, as there is a pine ingredient in this cleanser, but it is tea tree.  I am also struck by the ingredient list ~ lots of tree ingredients ~ pine, elm, snowbell, cedar ~ and it does have saccharomyces  ferment as well, which is a lactic acid (AHA) and betaine salicylate, a BHA.  This will help exfoliate your dead skin cells and unclog your pores.    The texture of this cleansing gel is thick, not runny and it does provide an adequate foam for a gel. The pH level is between a 5.5 and 6, so it is a low pH cleanser.

Performance:  It isn’t AWFUL, but it isn’t WOW OMGasmic either.  I found it didn't remove makeup as well as it should.

Honestly, I don't know why this gets rave reviews.  I think it it is a mediocre product and I highly recommend either Ciracle Anti-Blemish Tea Tree or Simplistic Skin Begin Cleansers instead.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

Okay, I am just going to say it now ~ this is one amazing cleanser and I will repurchase it.  It was one of my favorite products in 2016 and I really love it.  It has reached Holy Grail status for me in terms of a cleanser, which is a rare thing.   This cleanser has a beautiful texture ~ it is a gel and has a lovely honey-amber shade.

The scent is also amazing to me ~ it has a light woody-pint and mint scent and I swear I can smell lavender, even though that ingredient is not in this product.  It has a coolness and freshness to it that reminds me of being in a spa.  This doesn’t contain any harmful substances or irritants and all of the ingredients register between 0 and 1 on EWG’s Skin Deep Safety Grade guide.
Simplistic Skin states that this has a pH level of 5.5 ~ I found it to be closer to a 6, which  is still mildly acidic.

This is a beautiful cleanser ~ I love using it ~ it has a nice slightly thick amber colored gel that is amazingly scented (and naturally scented too!)   Cleansing abilities are pretty fantastic too ~ it foams up better than what I have in the photo below.  It removed all of my makeup without any effort ~ really amazing for a foaming cleanser.  I love how this makes my skin feel ~ soft, hydrated and clean, without feeling dry or stripped.  Despite the mint in it, it does not have a cooling effect on my skin, so this is my go-to cleanser in the winter months.  It controls my oil production nicely too ~ removing excess oil, dirt and debris.  I haven’t experienced any issues using this cleanser and yea.  Just buy this one.  You will thank me later.  It is fantastic and if you love that pine-mint scent, you will adore this cleanser.  I think all skin types can use this cleanser with no issues.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This cleanser is made with natural AHA/BHA ingredients and contains 71.% natural ingredients ~ it helps gently exfoliate your skin, unclogging pores and removing excess oil along with dirt and debris.   This is marketed for all skin types.   This comes in a tall, slim 200mL pump applicator bottle.  The cleanser is a yellowish shade and it is a bit runny.  This has a very strong tea tree scent, so if you don’t care for tea tree, you may not like this.  However, I love tea tree ~ in fact, my HG and favorite tea tree cleanser is Ciracle Anti-Blemish Tea Tree Face Wash, which has a very strong tea tree odor.    The ingredients in this cleanser look to be really designed for oily and blemish prone skin, but GentleMask does say it can be used for all skin types.  This cleanser has a range of  5.5 to 6 and I found it to be more closer to a 5

This has a very watery texture, but with a foam brush, it can foam up nicely.  It isn’t a cloud of foam, but if you use a bubble net, you can create more if you want.   I would say this did very well in cleaning the makeup off my hand, with just some issues with the cream lip stain and a Korean orange eyeliner.  This cleanser does not dry out nor strip my skin and it does a great job removing dirt and excess oil from my face.  I think this can be used with all skin types, unlike Ciracle Anti-Blemish Tea Tree Face Wash,  so if you are looking for a tea tree cleanser but aren’t necessarily oily skinned, this one is a good alternative to Ciracle’s cleanser.

I think that GentleMask D-Tox is 110% better than cosRX Good Morning low pH Cleanser, btw ~ I did not care for that one that much.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This essence is not a watery essence ~ if I had to describe the texture, I would say it is like a thick honey, but without the stickiness.  It is a golden amber in color and smells like ginseng ~ warm, earthy and spicy.   You can see below how it has a weight to it ~ I can actually have it create a “string”, similar to snail slime products ~ but again, it isn’t sticky or tacky.  It just has a great viscosity to it.   It applies smoothly on my skin and leaves it silky smooth without any tackiness.

I do like to mix a bit of beta glucan in with this essence, only because I want a more liquid essence.  However, that isn’t reallyI used this essence right before my emulsion/lotion step, as it is not watery at all. In fact, this has more of a lotion-gel texture with that awesome ginseng scent.  How did it perform for me?  Well, the claims are that it is a brightening product and an anti-wrinkle product.  I found this to be a very nourishing and moisturizing essence that left my skin feeling soft and silky smooth.  It almost felt like a primer, quite frankly.  It absorbed quickly into my skin and didn’t leave a dewy finish.  I found that my skin’s texture was more refined after I applied this and whereas I didn’t notice brightening effects, I did notice that my fine lines and wrinkles were less noticeable. necessary ~ this stuff does provide a lot of moisture!   On average, it added 45% more moisture to my skin and it was balanced between oil and water.

I really think this is an essence that I will purchase again. I felt so highly of it that it made my 2016 top products list. I love everything about it ~ the packaging, the ingredient list, the scent and how it made my skin look and feel.  My skin looks more radiant and I know that it feels so baby soft ~ and I didn’t break out with using this, so I think this is a great essence for oily skin types.  I also think that it is a great product to mix in other items, like beta glucan or hyaluronic acid, if you want a more watery product.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

Galactomyces are fermented yeast filtrates and are highly moisturizing as well as being a powerful anti-oxidant.  They help fight free radicals and reverse and slow down the aging process in your skin, by reducing the appearance of existing fine lines and wrinkles while preventing new ones and also by brightening and evening out your skin tone by fading hyper-pigmentation spots.  It also controls cell turnover and oiliness.

I normally hate hydrogels and 2 piece ones at that… BUT THIS MASK IS WONDERFUL!! I love it. Really do ~ this is what Whamisa should have been and it was wasn’t. This has a very light lavender scent (really light, I had to sniff it several times to pick up on it) and it is very jiggy wiggy ~ one side is “textured” with a diamond pattern, which makes it adhere better to my face, but it still is hard to place on my face. Once I got the mask placed, it did stay on well. Lots of essence in the bag too, so I put that over the mask and on my neck too.   After 35 minutes, I removed what was left of this hydrogel (as a lot of it absorbed into my skin) and wow. Smooth, pores tightened, matte, not sticky, no extra essence balling up (yeah side eye to Whamisa here) and my face looked refreshed and the skin tone is brightened. This mask is amazing and I will be purchasing this one.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

this mask has some lovely fermented ingredients ~ pomegranate, soy, ginseng, rice, pumpkin 🎃, green tea 🌱, honey 🍯 and more! It also has one of my favorite hydrating ingredients, beta-glucan. The mask itself doesn’t feel like much, it is a paper like mask and the essence is odorless. The fit of this mask is good for people with big faces (like me!) and I did appreciate that. I didn’t think too much of this mask when I put it on, as I felt that it wasn’t that soaked in essence plus I didn’t like the feel of the mask. However, I was able to leave this on for about 35 minutes without it drying out too much. I was also very surprised at the results! I thought this was going to be a meh-mask and wow — this mask actually brightened up my skin tone overall, reduced the appearance of my pores around my nose and lower forehead. My face doesn’t feel sticky or greasy, and feels really smooth, soft, hydrated and cool to the touch. I have to say, after the Whamisa mask last night, which is more expensive than Zymogen’s mask, I can say that Zymogen’s mask is really so much better for my skin type (oily, blemish-prone, aging). Two thumbs up

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

My love for fermented goodies is greater than my loathing for 2 piece hydrogel mask! If you have never seen the packaging for Whamisa masks, the mask comes in a tray, not a foil packet. The hydrogel has a brownish-golden tinge to it, but it is transparent and it is very much a jiggy-jelly mask. It took me a several attempts to slap this mask on as it kept folding in on itself and the lower half kept sliding down.  The fit isn’t awesome for me, my sides of my face are not covered well and the chin area is also feels lacking (I like my masks go cover my chin and then some!) The upper part of the mask fits nicely but the lower mask doesn’t… but that has been my complaint with 2 piece hydrogels all along. They never fit nicely for the lower half of my face. Anyway, within a few minutes, the mask stops sliding around and it is “glued” to my face! That is good ~ as that means the gel and essence will be absorbed into my skin. This is made with 100% natural ingredients and 95% organic ingredients ~ it is naturally fermented with fruits, such as apple, licorice, tomato and banana and can help hydrate and sooth skin. This is free of parabens, silicones, mineral oils, synthetic dyes and fragrances. This mask has a lovely lavender scent to it along with a fermented tang. After 30 minutes, I removed the mask. Huh. I didn’t see anything toned or lifted, but face did feel soft and smooth. Not exactly what I thought for a high priced hydrogel. Okay….

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

I have never been so happy to stop a series of sheet masks as I have been with Whamisa ~ and there were only 3 flavors!!  I skipped over the kelp one, as the Tonymoly Kelp mask is a dup and I felt it wasn’t worth spending the extra moola on the expensive version. Honestly, I don’t get the raves over these masks ~ for me, the fit was abysmal and after I removed the mask, the essence remaining on my skin just “balled” up and didn’t absorb into my skin at all.  This mask, like the other 2, is formulated with 95% organic ingredients ~ the key players are naturally fermented rice and soybean and it will help hydrate and soothe dry skin, while improving elasticity and firmness. The scent is nice ~ it is lavender and they do provide a ton of essence ~ I am showing close ups of the mask in its container ~ and I use a facial brush to apply the essence on my face first (I like to put it under my eye area, as the mask isn’t going to cover that area very well) and then the mask over it.  The mask is beautiful golden jelly, but a pain to apply as it slips and slides everywhere, but I will say this, once it is on your face for 5 minutes, it doesn’t move. That sucker is adhering quite nicely.  I did like the Flower & Aloe one as it really did reduce my pores, but the Seeds & Rice version is like the Fruit & Tomato version ~ nothin’, honey.   It really was like putting unflavored gelatin on my face for 30 minutes.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This mask is for lifting, whitening (brightening) and moisturizing and is made with 100% natural ingredients/95% organic and contains fermented flower extracts ~ chrysanthemum, camellia, dandelion, lotus ~ along with fermented aloe vera and then some nice extracts to help brighten your skin ~ licorice and peony. This mask smells nice ~ I know the main scent is that fermented like scent, but I can smell flowers ~ maybe camilla? It is very pleasant ~ this time I learned to grab my face brush that I use for masks and apply the excess serum in the mask tub on my face first before applying the mask.  This mask is a very jiggly-jelly mask and I did have issues with Whamisa (again) because it is so jiggly. I had to keep adjusting the lower part of the hydrogel as it kept sliding off my face.  The nice thing about the Whamisa is that it will calm down after 5 minutes and just stick to your face like an alien life-form and not budge.  I left my masks on for about 30 minutes and removed.

Unlike the Fruit/Tomato version, I could see instant results with this mask ~ my face looked brighter and radiant, more even in its tone and my pores looked smaller in appearance. The only downside is that this is a night mask ~ it is so moisturizing that my skin couldn’t absorb all of the essence properly and it kept balling off my skin

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

Ahh, a marriage made in herbal heaven! I love Innisfree’s Bija facial sheet mask and it is no surprise that they took two very good blemish and oil controlling ingredients and mixed them together. I bet you didn’t know that that Innisfree made a clay mask outside of their volcanic pore masks!! Many people don’t, as for some reason, this clay mask is only available in the small capsule pods and it isn’t really apparent that this is a clay mask if you just read the name. At any rate, this mask does make you look like Shrek (green skin, no weird ear horns, thankfully) and it has a nice bija/tea tree scent to it ~ the clay mask is smooth and creamy and is easily applied. It dries down nicely too ~ it doesn’t tighten or make my skin itch ~ just rinse with warm water after it is dry on your face (about 15-20 minutes) and nice, clean skin! This does a great job with excess oil and removing dirt in your pores. If you are looking for something different from the volcanic clay mask, give this one a try ~ and also pick up their soothing aloe vera capsule pack to put on afterwards as a sleep pack ~ these two little capsule packs are perfect for traveling. You can get 2 to 3 uses out of each pod as well.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This clay mask is made from glacial Canadian clay (3000mg), which will help remove dirt and unclog pores, while absorbing excess oil in your skin, along with 2 other types of clay ~ kaolin and bentonite to help detox. It also contains oatmeal, which will help soften and remove dead skin cells, while hydrating and moisturizing your skin, tea tree extract ~ which is an anti-bacterial and will help heal and soothe blemishes. This is a thick greenish clay mask where I can see the oatmeal grains and smell the tea tree extracts! Word of warning: if you have sensitive skin, under a special skin treatment or have dry skin, I would not recommend this mask. For us oily skinned people ~ this mask has an initial tingle for about 2 minutes that is quite intense ~ and then it just becomes a nice cooling clay mask. I love this mask in the summertime ~ I purchased my first tub last year and this is my second tub, as it is so refreshing and cooling. Just be careful that your skin type can tolerate the freeze!! It cleans out my pores and exfoliates, with the gentle oats in the scrub ~ after I rinse off the mask, my face feels cool and refreshed, my pores look smaller

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

It is part of their Nature Solution series, of which I have used the Tangerine Bright Sleep Pack (too sticky!!).  This is made with 3000 mg of fermented bamboo sap which moisturizes, bamboo leaf extracts which has a cooling and soothing effect on your skin.  This is made with 4 types of clay to help detox your skin and remove impurities.  The charcoal is Damyang Bamboo and Goodal claims it removes excess oil and dirt better than regular charcoal.  This also contains tea tree and witch hazel, which will help heal your skin and act as an astringent.  The mask is a greenish-blue gray in color, with little tiny grains of charcoal powder quite visible in the creamy clay mask.
It smells like a lemony fresh detergent, seriously.   haha.  It is lightly scented, but it does have that astringent cleanser smell that I associate with household cleaning products.  This mask goes on smooth and creamy, easy to apply.  It does dry down, but it doesn’t tighten or make my skin itchy ~ in fact, it has a pleasant cooling effect (not a tingling ~ I know some people cannot tolerate a really good bracing mask, but this is not one of those!)    I rinsed off with warm water after 20 minutes, massaging it into my skin so that the little charcoal grains would exfoliate a bit more ~  my skin did feel smoother and clearer, and more pores looked very clean and more “tight”.  The redness from my blemish on my nose was also reduced.  I do like this mask a lot

This mask is great for oily skin, as it contains 2,500ppm of lotus extracts, which are known to help purify and soothe your skin, while moisturizing.  It also has beta glucan and sodium hyaluronate, which attract moisture while locking it into your skin.  This has anti-inflammatory ingredients, to help soothe and calm your skin ~ licorice and allantoin. This mask is dripping with essence and it is very thin, but not so thin that it rips easily ~ they are smooth and feel really nice on my skin.  These masks  are marketed as a daily low-irritant mask made from .2 mm “air sheet” which is breathable and will deliver the lotus essence to your skin effectively.  The fit is quite well, just missing out around my nose.  This has a warm lotus scent to it.   I was able to wear this mask for 35 minutes without a problem and when I removed it, my face initially felt very moist and sticky, but within a few minutes, the essence has completely absorbed into my skin. My face looked brighter, clearer and less reddened.

This one has to be in my top 3 favs from this series.  It contains niacinamide and lemon extracts to help brighten your skin tone and lemon is a natural source of Vitamin C and the antioxidants bioflavonoids.  It helps protect your skin against UV damage and is also an anti-inflammatory. This mask was really dripping with essence and very watery ~ the scent ~ well, if I tried really hard, I could smell a citrus scent, but for the most part, it was scentless to me.  The fit was good and I left it on for 50 minutes ~ when I removed it, my skin did look brighter and more even in skin tone, but I still saw some redness with the blemishes around mouth and nose (yep, stress zits!)  The essence dried down quickly and left a matte finish on my face but my face still felt hydrated.  I really liked the temporary brightness this mask gave to my skin, so I will give this 2 snaps!

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

this is their tea tree mask and quite honestly, this mask doesn’t smell like anything, let alone tea tree ~ so for those who dislike tea tree scents but love tea tree benefits, you might want to check this one out! This mask is super thin, dripping with watery essence (I didn’t get any of the milky essence masks in this line) and I left this on for a good 40 minutes. It was very refreshing and cooling on my face while I was wearing it. When I removed it, there was a lot of essence still sitting on my face, but it did dry down nicely without any tacky residue or stickiness after 10 minutes, and my face did feel hydrated without feeling greasy or dewy. It didn’t do much for reducing swelling on a blemish I have, but it did reduce the redness. I think the best part of this mask was actually wearing it, as it was so refreshing

I love strawberry masks ~ they are great for oily and blemish prone skin. Strawberries are rich in anthocyanins, which help protect against oxidation (cell damage) caused by UV light, act as an antibacterial & astringent,  to control oil & acne prevention. Strawberries nourish your skin with a slew of vitamins: A, B1, B2, B6, C & E, just among some of them & antioxidants,  which helps prevent/reduce the signs of aging. The fit is  pretty decent and the mask is thin, but not too thin, dripping in a very  wet, watery essence..that doesn’t smell like strawberries.  It has a very sharp bitter alcohol scent.   However, the scent goes away pretty quickly and because this mask is so wet, I was able to leave on for 35 minutes.  When I removed it, the first thing I noticed is how sticky my face felt.  Very tacky.  And it doesn’t dry down on my skin quickly ~ 20 minutes later, my face is still tacky with the essence residue.  And dewy!! This mask is nothing like other strawberry masks I have used (MDB, Innisfree) and this is a mask that will provide a lot of moisture to your skin and it shows.  I didn’t notice any brightening with this.  If you have normal skin, you might want to check this out, even though it has alcohol in it.  It really made my face look glow-y and dewy and I have oily skin.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This mask has 2500 ppm of Aloe extracts, which is a very hydrating and nourishing ingredient ~ Aloe packs a lot of moisture, while being an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging ingredient.  The mask was dripping wet with a very watery essence and it has a scent that reminds me of a cross between aloe and geranium ~ a spicy aloe!  The mask sheet is thin but it doesn’t tear and it drapes and conforms to my face nicely.  I left this on for 20 minutes and removed.  My skin was very moist and dewy ~ it also was a bit tacky, due to the ceramides.  The mask does nothing for my pore size, but does help reduce the heat and redness from my skin.  However, once it dried down after 5 to 10 minutes, the essence was absorbed completely, no dewy finish (whew) and my pore size looked smaller.  I am really enjoying this new line from Etude House ~ I was never a fan of the “I Need You” line but this one is becoming a fast favorite for inexpensive but effective masks.

L’Herboflore is a Taiwanese brand and their masks are really lovely ~ ultra thin sheet masks made with “breathable hydration locking Japanese silk“. This contains Panax Ginseng ~ used in anti-aging skin care products, as it is can stimulate the skin and activate the blood flow, which will increase toning and production of new skin cells. It also has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, due to natural carbohydrate called saponin, and will help reverse damage caused by free radicals, such as hyper-pigmentation and also combat free radicals to prevent new skin damage of fine lines and wrinkles. Ginseng detoxes your skin and leaves it radiant and glowing.  Applied topically, it helps stimulate collagen production to promote cellular renewal. Its herbal properties and usage dates back over 5,000 years.

These masks are very thin, so it comes protected with a thin blue paper and a plastic “pearl paper”. I recommend removing the thin blue paper first and then applying the mask (with the plastic paper facing outwards from your face), adjusting it and then gently, very gently removing the plastic paper. This mask is drenched in essence ~ tons of it in the packet, which I just apply over the mask and onto my neck. This mask has no scent (sad face ~ I would love a ginseng scent) and because the sheet mask is sooo thin, it dries out quickly. I try not to let a mask dry out completely on my face as that defeats the purpose ~ the sheet will be sucking moisture from your face if the mask is all dried out. I removed the mask after 25 minutes and did notice that my pores looked smaller in appearance, my face was hydrated and looked brighter overall. I am a huge fan of ginseng masks and L’Herboflore, so I am happy I liked this one

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This black charcoal mask helps absorb excess oil and remove impurities from the skin, but this also has some anti-wrinkle and moisturizing ingredients: pumpkin enzyme, which will help gently exfoliate your skin and horse oil, which is very moisturizing ~ I’ve had good luck with masks with horse oil in it ~ Ciracle From Jeju Mayu mask is one of my favorites. The scent on this mask is a very light floral ~ it is so light I barely can tell it is there. The sheet mask is thicker because it is a charcoal mask, and it is soaked with essence ~ it feels very slick on my skin (probably the oils) It feels cool and refreshing on my face while I am wearing it. The fit isn’t the greatest in the world, but it does work. When I removed the mask after 50 minutes, my face felt very hydrated, but it also was mattified. My pores looked tighter and smaller, face is brighter and my blemishes are less red and smaller. I feel that the latter is due to the honey extract, as that ingredient is great for blemishes, as it is an antibacterial. This is a fantastic mask from SexyLook and I am pretty happy with it

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

One of the nicest fits with these Beaute Forest masks ~ very similar to Lovemore and Annie’s Way masks but just a tad thicker, so it doesn’t tear easily. Loads of essence in this mask, and it is a thicker clear liquid, not runny and has no scent.

This mask is very moist and I was able to leave it on for 40 minutes. This is a whitening mask, and it does have isonicotinamide (also known as isoniacinamide) and licorice in it, which help with brightening and evening out skin tone. White Truffle  extracts contains not only minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium, but also essential fatty acids to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Resveratrol is an antioxidant that will protect you against sun damage, increase collagen production and also combat free radicals to help prevent cell damage. This also has grape fruit extract, which combined with the resveratrol, makes this a very potent antioxidant cocktail!

My face was visibly brighter after I removed this mask (temporary results, of course) and was very moist, but no tacky residue and cool to the touch. My skin felt plumped up and I am very pleased with the results of this mask from Beaute Forest.  I do think they are underrated and you should check them out

This wash off mask pack is for oily or sensitive skin and I have decided that these gellies are too wonderful to use as a wash off pack.  I used did multi-masking ~ the Bamboo mask, I used on my cheeks and neck, whereas, I used this mask on my T-Zone, forehead and chin.  This contains some lovely ingredients for my oily skin

  • Tea is full of powerful anti-oxidants, due to its high concentration of polyphenols, green tea helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  Not only does it contain antioxidants but it is also has anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties, as well as the ability to prevent collagen breakdown and reduces UV sun damage as well.
  • Temella Fuciformis or Snow Fungus is a white gelatinous parasitic fungus that has been used in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) for centuries, as well as for culinary dishes. It draws water to the skin, just like hyaluronic acid, helping keep your skin hydrated and moist, plumping up fine lines and wrinkles. It is supposed to be 120% more efficient than HA, as its particles are smaller than hyaluronic acid ~ it penetrates your skin better and more easier. Snow fungus is a natural organic alternative to hyaluronic acid. It contains Vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin ~ we need produce it when we get it thru exposure to the sun and also in foods and supplements. Also, snow fungus is an antioxidant, helping combat and reserve free radical damage, including lightening of hyper-pigmentation spots.
  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is a powerful antioxidant that acts as an anti-inflammatory, improves your skin elasticity, enhance the skin barrier function and also it helps to even out skin tone and reduce post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
  • Peppermint is known for its anti-bacterial properties, cleanses and closes pores and has salicylic acid.

Be forewarned ~ this lovely golden jelly that smells like a wonderful cup of tea, will soak up your oil, make your pores look tight & small and mattify your skin ~ it is not a mask for dry skin types. Nope, it isn’t that moisturizing, but it does exactly what I want it to do ~ to mop up that excess oil and do some magic to my pores. When I wake up in the morning, my skin actually feels .. normal.  Usually, I have a lot of oil on my T-Zone area, but not when I use this mask. I love this jelly!!

Michele at @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

I decided to use this mask as a night sleeping pack ~ I applied this gel mask, as it is supposed be for dehydrated/dry skin, on my cheeks and neck area.  I used this mask with Oriental Beauty Tea Balancing mask as well (that one went on my T-Zone) to help balance out my really oily, blemish prone areas and my almost normal skin areas on my face.  This mask contains bamboo ~ an ingredient that contains over 70% of silica, which is a crucial item when it comes to your skin’s connective tissue, collagen. By stimulating certain cells, silica helps strengthen your collagen and elastin, which in turn will help firm and tone your skin and plump up your skin, so fine lines and wrinkles are not as noticeable. Bamboo also is a very soothing ingredient that is good for sensitive skin, as it is an anti-irritant, retains moisture and helps combat free radicals as it does contain anti-oxidant proprieties as well.

This also has royal jelly (produced by honey bees) and it contains B-complex vitamins, nucleic acid, decanoic acid, flavonoids, essential fatty acids, amino acids, enzymes, minerals and natural antibiotic and antibacterial compounds. It is an anti-aging ingredient as well, as it can increase collagen production in your skin. increased collagen production.  The Bamboo Ultra Hydrating Gel Mask is a scentless clear jelly and it pretty much was fully absorbed into my skin overnight.  In fact, I used two layers as it absorbs pretty quickly in my skin.  In the morning, this gel really made my skin soft and smooth & my skin is hydrated. These jellies really do soak into your skin, and do not leave any residue.

L’Herboflore actual mask sheet material is not my favorite at all, but the essence in these masks are fantastic. I did need a hydrating mask last night, as my skin was so dry from the cold outside and the heated indoors ~ and on top of that, I did a detox mask which did bring down the moisture a little bit. This mask had no scent that I could really tell and I left it on for about 20 minutes ~ L’Herboflore masks do dry out quickly (or at least they are now, as a heated apartment would cause it to dry out sooner). My moisture level jumped way up as it increased by 58%!!  I love my soy products and this mask is no exception. No tackiness or sticky residue on my face afterwards ~ my face is almost matte as it just soaked up the treatment. No wonder I keep adding this mask to my cart

Michele at @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This is a biocellulose coconut mask, very thin, and sandwiched between two thin pieces of paper, so it doesn’t lose its shape.  I mention this because you might think the paper is the mask, it is that thin!!  This is actually easy to apply and fits on my face like a second skin ~ it reminds me of Innisfree Second Skin masks, in fact.  It is very thin and cooling, not a lot of essence in the bag and the scent is a bit bitter, but faint. I don’t care for the scent that much.  The fit is lacking around the sides of my face.  I actually felt a slight stinging when I initially applied this mask, but it went away after a few minutes.  I did leave it on for 30 minutes and when I removed it, my face felt refreshed, but it also enlarged my pores.  I did not notice any brightening of my skin tone either.  Quite frankly, I recommend Innisfree Second Skin series if you are looking for a biocellulose mask and they are a lot less expensive.  Innisfree has repackaged their Second Skin series, but they are still just as good.

Peeling socks usually take about 10 days or so for me as a rule.  This review spans about 10 days from the time I used the treatment.  The sock for your foot is a thick sturdy plastic, not thin or cellophane-like ~ so it doesn’t rip easily ~ in fact, these never ripped once! The size is great too ~ I have huge feet ~ size 9 ~ and these fit fantastic. The essence actually had a light pleasant scent – not alcohol strong scented like most foot peeling masks. I left this on for 90 minutes and then rinsed off.  Within 2 days, the skin on my feet began to peel, which is unheard of for me ~ usually it take about 7 to 8 days to see some peeling action.  However, after the initial excitement and a week later, my feet are still peeling little bits and are really dry ~ but the calluses still are there.  This peeling sock works well if you don’t have hard calluses and just need a quick peel, but for people with tough feet like mine, this doesn’t work that well for me.  I do love how sturdy the sock is and wish that some other brands would use this type of material.

Package

Melt Me Softly

01/23/2017

I am not the biggest fan of nose strips, but I heard that these weren’t like the traditional nose strips ~ and I heard right! From packAGE Float Melt Me Softly Nose Strip is a soft nose strip ~ it is a sheet mask for your nose! It is plush, just like the Bouncy mask, and smells refreshingly wonderful ~ like lemon and mint. It is soaked in essence and I just applied this to my nose. Easy peasy.   I removed the nose strip after 10 minutes, which was still slightly damp and used the strip to wipe away any residue on my nose.
The nose strip IS AMAZING. Seriously ~ I could see where it was on my nose as the pores were so tight & small. My pores were also very clean, no longer clogged and my nose wasn’t oily. Two major thumbs up for these nose strips!

Michele at @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This mask is made with a lot of good ingredients: Honey, Propolis, Hyaluronic Acid, Galactomyces Fermented Filtrate ~ all for a very moisturizing mask ~ the sheet mask is made from tencel, feels very plush and soft. It is soaked with a gel-like essence and doesn’t have much of a scent. Now, the fit is bizarre ~ around the eyes and nose area, the mask looks like it is hanging on by a thin piece (and I mean a very thin piece, like a thick string width) of sheet material.  Totally weird and therefore, there was a lot of mask missing around my lower inner eye area and the sides of my nose. This mask felt really good on my skin ~ very cooling and soothing. I left it on for 40 minutes and then removed. It does leave a sticky residue on my face, but my face is very moisturized. However, my pores look bigger (yikes!) I think this mask is better suited for drier skin types than mine (I have oily skin) or I have to wait until the really cold weather gets to my area for me to use ~ cold winds = chapped skin. I think this is a really nice mask, just not around my pores.

Michele at @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

The mask is thin and very silky soft, but it holds its shape well and doesn’t tear when I apply it to my face. It is soaked in essence (not a lot left over in the pouch, however) and doesn’t have a scent that I can smell. The fit was really nice, not a lot of gaps and it fit my face pretty well. I was able to leave this mask on for 30 minutes and it was still moist. No sticky residue or greasy feeling, my face felt refreshed and hydrated, plus it looked brighter!  Sake helps smooth and moisturize your skin, due to its natural amino acids and it brightens and evens out your skin tone due to kojic acid, a skin lightening acid.  I love this has a lot of amino acids (glycine, alanine, proline, serine, etc) which nourish your skin to help strengthen your connective tissues, and keeps skin smooth. They are very powerful anti-aging ingredients.

Michele at @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This contains luffa (yes, your loofah sponge!) extract which contains an active enzyme that removes dirt and oil from your skin, while hydrating it naturally. This contains glutamic acid made from barley, and that is a skin conditioner that helps reduce redness and irritation. This mask comes with a plastic protector for ease of application, as it is thin ~ but it isn’t micro thin. In fact, I think that this mask is the perfect thinness ~ it doesn’t rip easily and it adheres nicely ~ major plus ~ the strip above the lip is FULL. Some masks have a thin thin strip and I have a lot of room between my nose and upper lip. This mask is soaking in essence and is very wet, with a slight bitter scent. I left this on for about 40 minutes and removed. At first, my face was really damp with the essence, so I couldn’t tell if this did any oil control ~ but I did notice my face looked brighter and less irritated. After 10 minutes, the essence dried down and I did see that it had a mattifying effect on my skin. I think these masks are really nice and quite affordable

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

These masks are different from other masks, as it comes in a bag ~ 7 masks that you are supposed to use 7 days in a row.  Unlike some masks-in-a-bag, these masks are neatly folded and protected by “pearl paper”, that plastic white protector that helps keep the masks shape and easy to apply.  There isn’t much a scent to these and they are very wet masks.  The fit is great except the gaps around my nose area.  This mask contains the following key ingredients:  white truffle ~ full of amino acids and minerals to help keep your skin hydrated, bright and is anti-aging,  fermented yerba santa extracts, which are full of polysaccharides and glycoproteins that help moisture skin as well as tannins ~ an astringent as well as a repairing ingredient.  Licorice also helps with brightening and Synake peptide (dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate), which mimics snake venom and is a treatment for fine lines & wrinkles.  I can leave these masks on for 40 minutes and after I remove it, my face does look brighter, more refreshed and my fine lines & wrinkles are plumped up.  My face isn’t dewy either ~ it almost has a matte feeling as the essence really has soaked into my skin ~ no tacky residue or filmy texture on my face.  I really love these masks-in-a-bag from Naruko.

This is their top of the line mask from their Creme of Jing Cheng 京城之霜 series of skincare products.  This is V-line mask and it will brighten, purify, tighten, moisture and provide complete coverage of your face without any seams.   It contains 60 different botantical ingredients, to help with anti-aging concerns ~  one of them is rose, so I was a little hesitant to try this out (patch testing is a must!)  I didn’t have any adverse reactions so I put on this very expensive mask and waited to see the results.  There isn’t much a scent to this mask ~ a very light floral if anything, and there is not a lot of excess essence either.  The mask material is very plush and dense, but it is very stretchy as I do have to hook those loops over my ears.  It is made from a 3-D elastic fiber, so that it really conform to my face shape.

I felt the fit was much better than the Magnolia mask, but I found it to be a bit more tighter as well.  As it wasn’t a “wet” mask, I left it on for only 25 minutes before removing ~ I did find that my face was moisturized and looked brighter overall.  I will say that I did prefer the Magnolia mask over this one, for a V-Line mask, in both performance and affordability, but the La Cream mask material is so plush and soft ~ it felt very nice to have on my face.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This one is very different from the other Naruko masks ~ it has a creamy milky essence and it is a V-Line mask, which means it has a neck mask attached to the face mask.  There are 4 loops, 2 on the neck and 2 on the face, where you loop that around your ears and it tightens the mask across and up your face, lifting your skin while you wear this mask.  The essence smells wonderful, like magnolias and this Brightening & Firming mask is for “mature” skin, helping to brighten and tone your skin.  The mask sheet is thicker than most of the Naruko masks, as it has to tighten across your face, so it is a stretchy material ~ once I applied this to my face and hook the loops around my ears, I felt pretty tucked in there!  This mask is very comfortable to wear ~ a lot of V-line masks are so tight I feel like they are about to slice thru my ears, but this one has the right amount of “lifting” and tightening without too much pressure.  Because of the V-line loops, I felt that the coverage around my chin and nose area was really lacking.  There isn’t a lot of essence left over in the package, but this mask has enough rich creamy essence that I was able to leave it on for 40 minutes.  I didn’t notice any tightening, but I did notice an immediate brightening of my skin complexion and my skin was very moist and hydrated.  I really enjoyed using this one and I plan to purchase a box or two from Naruko ~ I found it to be very soothing and relaxing to wear, with great results.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This is called triple HA due to its ingredients of  hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, hydrogenated starch hydrolysate and sodium hyaluronate, which are all water moisture ingredients.  This also has a brightening ingredient or two with niacinamide and licorice, as well as an AHA with the papaya extract, BHA and salicylic acid with the salix alba bark extract, so this will also help gently unclog pores and exfoliate away your dead skin cells.  This mask does contain quite a lot of different ingredients from the NRK Hyaluronic Acid Hydro-Lock Moisturizing Mask (which I reviewed earlier), so you can own both!  This is just like most Naruko masks ~ very thin mask sheet, fit is good (except around the nose area), very wet mask, with a slight bitter scent that disappears quickly.  After 30 minutes, I removed this mask, and my face did feel very hydrated and plumped up with moisture.  This is a great mask for when the heat is really on (I am tired of this heat, I am wilting…)  and it gives your poor, dehydrated skin a boost of much needed hydration.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This mask’s essence is very different from other Naruko masks – the snail is strong with this one!  There is no other way to describe it ~  it is one slimy mask!  The essence is very sticky in that mucilage way and there is a lot of it  with this mask ~ it is one juicy, thick gelatinous mask!  With tons of essence left over.  The scent is light, nothing unpleasant ~ I cannot even remember what it smelled like! The sheet mask is very thin and translucent and once I put this mask on, I could feel it just sucking onto my face like an alien pod life form.

I left it on for about 45 minutes, and where it had dried out ~ around the upper lip and nose (of course!!) ~ it felt strange to pull it off my face, as I could feel  the sticky residue just fighting me as I was peeling off the mask.  My face was VERY DEWY AND MOIST. This is a calming and repairing mask, so I was pleased to see that my blemishes and any red spots were reduced in swelling and redness and initially I thought ~ cool beans, I love this mask, it soothes my skin and my pores look great.  It is sticky and all of that, but it will be a night time mask.  After one hour, my face had stopped being sticky so I looked in the mirror again. No!!!!  My pores were enlarged.  I guess they soaked up that snail slime and ate too much, because they were HUGE.  I think this mask is best suited for dry skin, skin with little or tiny pores.  I could still use it, but I don’t need craters in my life.  It is a fantastic mask, just not for my skin type.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This mask is made for prematurely aging skin. This will hydrate, repair and soothe your skin, while restoring elasticity.   This mask is part of  what I call their classic series (I have no idea if they call it that or not) but all of those masks have a one color package (in this case, purple) and all contain a compound called phytoferulin, which has these ingredients:  kalanchoe spathulata, licorice root, alpine skullcap, masterwort, ginkgo biloba, alps wormwood, leontopodium alpinum, alpine willowherb, calendula, chamomilla recutita and green tea. In addition to these ingredients, this has several ferments ~ psaudoalteromonas, bifida, lactobacllus and it has some marine life ingredients ~ brine shrimp and red seaweed.  And of course, narcissus bulb, which is known to help repair damaged skin.

Like most Naruko masks, this is dripped wet with essence and has a very light bitter scent that goes away quickly.  The mask fit is good and I was able to keep it on for 50 minutes and it was still very wet around my cheeks and chin area ~ for some reason, my forehead, nose and upper lip area dry out  faster.  It had a cooling effect on my face, and it felt really fantastic ~ I had been feeling overheated and run down lately, due to the oppressive heat and my darn ear infection, so it felt good on my skin.  When I removed it,  I noticed how brighter my skin looked, soft and smooth.  Very hydrated with no sticky or tacky residue.  This is a really nice mask ~ I didn’t notice any other benefits, but I was fairly pleased with this one.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This mask is another winner from Naruko (except for the package design….it goes without saying).  With ingredients niacinamide, licorice, mulberry, arbutin and citric acid that will all aid in  brightening, lighten hyper-pigmentation spots and even out your skin tone. Sodium hyaluoronate and 3 types of ceramides will help moisturize and hydrate your skin.It is very wet with essence and it has a slight bitter scent that quickly disappears ~ the fit is very good as well ~ it covered my nose area really well.  I left this mask on for 40 minutes and it was still damp ~ my face looked more even in skin tone, hyper-pigmentation was temporarily reduced and my face did look more brighter and clear. My blemishes that I have were reduced in redness (yeah!)

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This is a brightening mask and it has some great ingredients to help lighten and even out my skin tone ~ tranexamic acid, mandelic acid, licorice, as well as some soothing & hydrating ingredients to help prevent redness bisabolol, Tasmanian pepper, aloe vera, calendula, sodium hyaluronate and a fermented black yeast (aureobasidium pullulans) which is probably fermented beta glucan. This mask is thinner than the Peptidte mask, which I prefer, and the essence is thin and watery, with a bitter herbaceous scent ~ which I now believe is coming from those essential oils. I do not mind the scent at all, it was just bothering me that I couldn’t quite place it. The fit is pretty good, it lacks some substance around my nose area. After 30 minutes I removed this mask ~ did it brighten? I think it did ~ my face seemed brighter and there was no irritation from the acids, my skin looked refreshed and glowing (but in a good way, not radioactive red way)

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

the RX 10 means that there are 10 different anti-aging peptides in this mask. It is supposed to prevent aging (give me a tub of this serum then!),  hydrates skin, locks in moisture and restores elasticity.  It is also supposed to brighten and smooth your skin.  Tall order!  First thing I noticed is that the sheet mask material is a bit different from my other Naruko masks ~ this is a bit more thicker ~ it is still thin, but I can tell it is not as thin as my other Naruko masks. It states  that it is made with a “Platinum silk” cloth, which is thin & fitted, but I do think it is a  thicker sheet mask material, but it fits except around the nose area, where there are huge gaps. There is a slight scent, but nothing weird.  It does stay moist for a long time ~ I left it on for 40 minutes.  My face felt smooth and moist, but I didn’t see a wow factor with this.   It could be my face is too far gone that any peptides will work (ahaha) or that this needs several treatments.  It isn’t a BAD mask, but right now, I just am not seeing anything with it.

Michele @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

Naruko’s HA mask is meant to deeply hydrate your skin resulting in a healthy glow. The combination of erythritol (a sugar) and homarine HCl (a compound found in crustaceans) is “Aqualance” and that is supposed to enhance moisture. Thin sheet mask, soaked with essence, very wet, pretty much odorless. As I was wearing this, I could feel my face cooling ~ so this is a really refreshing mask. After 30 minutes, I removed it and my face still felt cool to the touch and the essence was not sticky or tacky. No residue on my face, as the essence had been absorbed into my skin ~ unlike the collagen mask I tried prior by Naruko, this did not leave a film on my face, which I was very happy about! This is just a great hydrating mask with cooling effects  Sometimes, that is all I want!

This is a “firming” mask made with collagen, which will help maintain elasticity, provide hydrating and keeps your skin moist and smooth. It also has pentapeptide and hydrolyzed elastin, both ingredients will work with your collagen, to help moisturize, firm and tighten your skin. A trio of ocean ingredients ~ Hawaii red algae, bladder-wrack and pearl extracts help nourish, soften, provide hydration and gives your skin gloss and radiance.  The mask is drenched with essence (maybe this just needs to be taken for granted with Naruko masks!!) and there is about a teaspoon of essence in the pouch, which I put on my neck.  Oddly enough, this mask smells like honeyed apples to me.  Not sure why ~ there is neither apples or honey in this mask.  It is a great scent and I like it.   I am not that impressed by this mask, however.  It did leave my skin soft and smooth, very cool to the touch, but there was a “film” of the essence that just sat on the top of my skin that I didn’t like.  Perhaps it is supposed to be like that and overnight, it will work wonders, but it does feel like my skin is not clean.   Collagen masks + me = usually don’t agree for this very point.  This isn’t a knock on Naruko as most collagen masks I have used have been like this for me.   Update:  My skin did work wonders overnight ~ I had 5 little whiteheads come to town and party.  They were small and went away when I used an exfoliating scrub, but this was the only thing I had on my face last night ~ I was very lazy and didn’t use any other products.    For some people, collagen masks are a lifesaver, but for me, they just don’t work that well.

This wins the “Longest Name for a Mask” award! This mask is like a mini skincare item in itself! I was just looking at the ingredients list and was blown away with all of the great antioxidant and beneficial items. I am catching up on posting my reviews on some facial sheet masks that I used over the weekend.

Job’s Tears is an anti-inflammatory, helps with skin problems, such as blemishes, moisturizes and renews your skin. Licorice, ellagic acid, 2 forms of vitamin C (ascorbyl glucoside & sodium ascorbyl phosphate) help to brighten your skin, Oleanolic acid (from olive leaves), is antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory and it will help to improve and support elasticity in your skin, as well as brightening your skin tone. Salicyloyl phytosphingosine is an antioxidant that will reduce wrinkles, refine and improve the texture of sundamaged skin.

The mask is silky smooth and thin, but it is made from wood-pulp, not silk! This mask has a lot of a thin, watery essence and the mask is soaked with it. The scent is light, but it smells like grain/yeast/bread (I am hungry now). The fit is pretty good ~ the nose piece could be a little longer, but other than that, it covers my big face  really well. As the essence is absorbed into my skin, the mask turns white and more paper-like. After 40 minutes, I removed the mask and yes, this is winner! My face is brighter overall, my pores look miniscule ~ and my face felt very hydrated, but not sticky to the touch ~ there was moisture on my face, but it was like water ~ it absorbed into my skin quickly (or evaporated in the air). I love this mask!

This mask is pretty typical of Naruko masks ~ thin, almost transparent sheet mask, soaked in essence. The scent is a bit bitter, but it isn’t overpowering ~ it could be the ubiquinone that is causing that scent. This is full of brightening ingredients: niacinamide, tranexamic acid and ubiquinone and this has fermented black tea extracts, also known as kombacha, which will enhance your skin’s texture, skintone and radiance by increasing circulation and hydration in your skin. When I removed the mask after 40 minutes, I was pretty surprised at how even my skin tone looked, plus it was brighter and hydrated ~ without that dewy look. I love Naruko masks because they really give my face the hydration it needs but it leaves an almost matte finish to my very oily skin! Another side benefit to this mask ~ my pores and lines looked smaller in size

This is made with edelweiss, and since I am part Swiss, I feel that I should try a mask made with Edelweiss! Edelwiess contains potent antioxidants, that protect your skin from aging, reduce inflammation and helps detox your skin. This also contains calendula, which is a soothing and antibacterial herb and it can prevent and heal blemishes. This also has niacinamide, which aids in helping brighten your skin tone. This mask is a thin one ~ I don’t know if it is silk or cotton, but it is thin enough that it has that pearl paper (the plastic protector) to help keep its shape and also aid in applying the mask to your face. This has a lot of essence ~ not as much as My Scheming (I don’t think any mask is!) but quite a bit of it and it is odorless (at least to my nose). I am able to keep the mask on for about 40 minutes, but the edges of the mask (around my forehead, my nose, around my mouth) have dried out, so next time, I will go for 30 to 35 minutes. The fit is fairly good ~ it is a little short around the nose and I would like more coverage around the sides of my nose, but considering I have a big face, this is a fairly decent fit. After I removed the mask, my face was very moist and hydrated and there was a bit of sticky residue that disappeared after 5 minutes or so. My face looked more even in its skin tone and brighter, my red spots had diminished in color. This mask delivered on its promise of soothing and moisturizing while it also brightened! Great mask!

This is a smooth white clay mask that has fermented pineapple extracts ~ pineapple contains an enzyme ~ bromelain ~ which is an AHA and gently exfoliates your skin to remove dead skin cells, cleanses, smooths and unclogs pores. It also contains Zinc PCA, which helps improve your skin by adjusting the oil secretion and seaweed extracts help balance the oil and water in your skin, as well as your pH level to help reduce excess oils and it also helps in preventing blemishes. This also has some moisturizing ingredients too: tremella (the queen of hydration), which contains mucopolysaccharides, helping to bring moisture into your skin, pansy extracts to help strengthen your moisture barrier, so that your skin will have elasticity and tone. This mask has a fermented pineapple scent-clay scent to it ~ it isn’t a joyous fruit explosion, but a bit strange.

The mask is very smooth and I can easily apply it. I left my mask on for 20 minutes and one of the lovely things about it is that when it dried down, it didn’t dry down to a flaky mess that makes your skin all tight. It still had some moisture in the mask, so it would not pull or tighten on my face, and it was very smooth without cracking or peeling off my face. I used my konjac sponge to remove and my face felt really nice and hydrated, no dry feeling ~ my skin is very smooth and a nice even skin tone.

Oh yeah ~ this is a great mask! This is the Bitter Melon (bitter gourd, balsam-pear) and the last mask I used that had this ingredient in it (Sewame), I adored!! There is something about this ingredient that really works well with oily skin ~ Bitter melon helps repair damaged tissue and speed up wound healing, relieves swelling and inflammation, reduces oil production and will help promote your skins water and oil balance, contains hydroxy acids, fruit acids, vitamin A, amino acids, vitamins B5. This mask is like the Edelweiss mask in terms of fit and texture, lots of ESSENCE in this one! The scent has a bitter scent to it, which is probably due to the salicylic acid in this product, which will help gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells, helping to heal and prevent blemishes. I was able to leave this mask on for almost an hour, with just some drying around the edges. After I removed it, my skin felt cool and refreshed, brighter in skin tone and had a matte finish. My pores looked tighter and smaller and redness was reduced! Fantastic mask!

I am totally in love with Naruko’s Tea Tree line ~ I have tried their mask and night jelly with more products to come!   This is a ‘black’ mask, as it is made with carbon ~ many black masks are really great for oily skin, as it will help absorb a lot of oil. The mask is a bit smaller than I would like, but it fits okay ~ no weirdly placed mouth, nose or eyes. This is a very wet mask and there is a lot of essence in the bag, which I just placed on top of the mask. This mask smells REALLY nice ~ it has a spearmint-citrus scent to it. I left it on for 20 minutes and my face was very wet still ~ my skin hadn’t absorbed the essence very well when I was wearing the mask. At first, I didn’t like this mask, but as the essence was absorbed into my skin (it took about 10-15 minutes for my face to totally dry), I really liked how my face felt, which was smooth and oil-free. So, I went from a meh to a YEAH on this Naruko mask.

Hanyul Optimizing Serum s made from fermented pine needles oil. This uses dark brown pine needles and other oriental herbs to make an 83% concentrated fermented "broth" and is an anti-aging serum, designed to help with wrinkles. This stuff is wonderful!! It smells like I am in a meadow surrounded by pine trees - it is a piney-wildflower scent - not heavy, but just lovely. The serum is very light weight - in fact, I read that it is called a first serum, because it is so light and you use it after cleansing. My gawd, this stuff makes my skin so happy ~ it hydrates without being greasy and just smells wonderful. This serum is great for oily skin and it helps prep and boost your skin, preparing it for other products.

Dual Lip Blender

IOPE Dual Lip Blender in Burgundy Blending  I am really loving this! This is a lipstick core with a moisturizing balm around it. You can do gradient lips with it, but I really suck at doing that, so I use it for the color and the balm ~ together ~ for a glossy, non-sticky moisturizing lippie! What is nice about this is that you can go as sheer as you want or as vibrant as you want, as the color is buildable. It doesn't have a scent that I can tell, and it doesn't taste like anything ~ just a great shade of a reddish-purple and nourishing your lips at the same time! The tube is very classy ~ a sleek rectangular shape with a silver cap and a deep dark navy blue. IOPE makes these in several colors ~ red, pink, orange, burgundy and rose gold.

Mamonde Creamy Tint Color Balm Intense in #07 Let's Kiss ~ I have never tried Mamonde makeup before and I was a bit scared when I saw the color in this crayon lip balm. That is REALLY a bright orange-poppy shade! But after swatching and then applying to my lips, it turns out that this a deep pink with a hint of coral shade with a dewy finish, which I do like a lot! It doesn't make me look half dead - haha. This goes on smoothly but since it is a chubby crayon type, you might have to be careful about build up in the corners. Also, whereas this is made with moisturizing ingredients, jojoba and lanolin, it will accentuate chapped or rough lips. So make sure you exfoliate your lips and keep piling on those lip balms to keep your lips nice & smooth. This doesn't really have a scent I can detect and it is also tasteless. Mamonde makes these intense lip balms in a variety of colors and not only in dewy (glossy), but matte finishes as well.

I purchased a lot of Mitomo masks from japanskinsg a few weeks ago and I am just starting to use them. I chose the aloe & cherry blossom one has I needed a soothing mask ~ this has cherry blossoms (sakura) which is an anti-oxidant known for its skin repairing properties and aloe vera, which is intensely hydrating and soothing ~ helping to reduce inflammation. Mitomo uses natural cotton for its sheet masks. This maks is thicker than Korean or Taiwanese brands, but it is very soft and plush. The essence, for a lack of a better word, is slimy and there is a ton of it on the mask. That slimy texture made it difficult to position the mask initially and it did take me a few tries to get it on properly. But once I got it in place, that mask stayed put! There is a light floral fragrance (cherry blossoms?? IDK) but it disappears quickly. This mask has a nice cooling effect and I was able to leave it on for about 40 minutes and it was still damp. My skin felt hydrated, refreshed, my pores looked a bit smaller and my face looked brighter. I do like this mask a lot and I believe this is the first Japanese mask in a long time that I really like (the last one was the Melano CC masks in a tub)

Color me impressed with Double & Zero! I really enjoy using this mask.  I found that that this mask hit all of the important points for me ~ fit and feel of the mask sheet, scent, longevity, essence ingredients and results. I have used coffee ingredients before, but this is the first time for me that I have a sheet mask whose main ingredient is coffee. This is an anti-aging mask, but I would think if you have dry skin or you just want a deep and intensely moisturizing mask now and then, this one is great. I would love this essence as a separate skincare item as it is so wonderfully moisturizing ~ it is almost like I used a facial oil, but I didn’t!

This cream has a light and delicate warm, slightly spicy scent  ~ it looks really thick and dense in the jar, but as I take a little bit (and a little bit is all you really need with this cream), it has almost a chiffon texture and melts directly into my skin.   It just spreads so smoothly and quickly on my skin before being absorbed so you don’t have to worry about tugging on your skin or pilling of the cream, which happens when an eye cream doesn’t really absorb well into your skin (side eye to Whamisa). There is no tacky or sticky residue when I use this. Is my skin tighter and firmer under my eye area?  I am never sure what that means ~ maybe because I do not think my skin is that loose under my eyes.  It doesn’t provide an eye lift or anything like that, but it also doesn’t cause puffiness or swelling. Some eye creams do cause the skin to puff up based on the water content.  I do not have dark circles, so I cannot vouch for its claims of brightening the skin tone under my eyes. I do use it both in the morning and evening and I do feel it helps soften my fine lines and wrinkles, but it isn’t permanent. I do like how this absorbs quickly and doesn’t just sit on my skin ~I have used some eye creams that do that and it is messy.  I will use this until I am done with it, but it isn’t my HG.

So, despite its name, this is a toner ~ and it really is amazing with all of its hydrating, moisturizing 10% fermented formula.  The scent is a very delicate and light warm yet fresh floral, which I assume is lotus flowers.  The scent disappears quickly, so it is not heavily perfumed.  This toner is so soft and plush ~ how can a watery product be soft and plush, you ask? It just feels that way ~ it is thicker than water, but it isn’t a gel or anything like that.  It has a texture to it that is a bit slimy, which is due to Lotus’ natural mucin.   It just glides onto my skin and there is a water droplet effect while it is absorbing into my thirsty skin.  When I first used this, I wasn’t sure if it would absorb nicely into my skin, but as I patted it gently, it just disappeared, leaving my skin feeling so soft, so smooth and hydrated. it hydrates and soothes, and my skin feels so much more refined and soft when I use it.  I haven’t noticed any lightening of my hyper-pigmentation, but my skin does feel clean and refreshed.    I have been looking for a replacement for my beloved and now discontinued Innisfree Soybean Energy Essence [Light] ~ and I think I have found it!

I went in with no expectations with this balm ~ I wasn’t sure how it would work for my skin.  I am so happy that this item turned out to be a fantastic item for my skin ~  it helped heal and clear up blemishes, while preventing and/or reducing fresh PIH.  I never experienced purging or breakouts using this ~ that said, Innisfree does warn that some people could have a negative reaction.  What I have noticed since I have been using this product ~ and it has been about 4 months now ~ that my skin is brighter and clearer around my blemish prone areas.  That doesn’t mean I do not still break out in acne, because I do, but it isn’t as bad as it used to be. The key for me and PIH (post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation ~ those horrible purple-red scars) is to get them while they are fresh and they will fade much quicker and in some cases, not even scar.   This product is doing just that, with the retinol and not making my skin flake or dry out too much.   I also felt that it helped smooth and soften my skin, while supplying moisture.

Disclaimer:  As with all actives/acids, your results might be quite different from mine. I recommend reading other reviews and researching this product before deciding it is for you.  If you do choose to purchase it, always patch test with actives and acid products.

This sunscreen reminds me of a creamy moisturizer, with a faint floral scent ~ I was hoping for an aloe vera scent, but nope.   It absorbs quickly, without a tacky or greasy residue and no white cast, doesn’t cause me to break out… but it does leave my face dewy.  This makes this sunscreen difficult to work with when I have to apply foundation over it, as I have to wait a while or use blotting papers to dampen down the dew.  I think this sunscreen is perfect for exercising outside, going to the beach and other activities that doesn’t require foundation and a full “face”.  It isn’t waterproof, so I would have to apply it more often.  It probably would be better for me in the wintertime, when the air is drier and the dewiness would be welcomed.   This contains 5,500 ppm of aloe vera, and it is very moisturizing and hydrating.   I would say if you have combination skin, you would enjoy this sunscreen very much ~ it does contain alcohol, so please make note of the ingredients list if you have sensitive skin.

Michele at @colebiancardi https://beautyfindsforme.wordpress.com

This sunscreen is fantastic for oily skin types ~ its texture reminds me very much of Peripera Ice Jelly Sun SPF 30 PA++, which is now discontinued (and I was sad when they got rid of it..)  The texture is very lightweight and it doesn’t even resemble a sunscreen ~ it is watery and absorbs quickly, like a serum or essence.  It has an alcohol scent initially, but that disappears quickly and as it dries, it leaves a cooling sensation, which is due to the alcohol in this product, I am sure.  I love this sunscreen as it really doesn’t add much more time to my morning skincare routine as it is fast drying.  I just slap this on and within a minute, I can add my foundation.   No tacky residue, no white cast and you would never know that you ever put this product on your face!  This does have alcohol and tons of citrus extracts in it, so again, if you are sensitive to these types of ingredients, you shouldn’t try this.  For me, however, this is a fantastic sunscreen and I am now eager to try more Japanese sunscreens as they seem to not be thick goopy messes!   This is SO affordable too

I am a fan of shampoo bars for several reasons ~ they are great when you travel ~ just pop them in a travel soap dish and you don't have to worry about exploding liquids on the plane or heavy items if you are camping. They are lightweight, last a long time and very eco-friendly as there are no plastic bottles to deal with. I haven't tried one that is Korean and also fermented so that is why I really wanted to try this. This is made with 100% natural hanbang ingredients like ginger (invigorating), lotus (detoxifying), soybean/black bean (strengthening). This bar is also supposed to help protect your hair, prevent hair loss, and relieve any itchiness, leaving your hair shiny. This is packaged beautifully ~ it comes in this pink and plum box with gold letters, butterflies and flowers. Inside, the bar is wrapped in paper with Korean lettering and then it is revealed to be a dark brown, very hard, very dense soap bar that does smell.. fermented. It does have a dark herbal medicinal scent. It also is textured, as I can feel its graininess and I can also see chunks of things ~ black beans & leaves in it. . I have been using this for almost 2 weeks now and my impressions are: it suds up WELL. Very well ~ I like how the grainy bits "exfoliate" my scalp ~ I just wet my hair and then rub this into my scalp and it foams up nicely ~ I leave in for 5 - 10 minutes as I do other things ~ wash face, exfoliate face, shave legs and pits, etc. I don't need a lot of this soap, btw, and when I am done with it, I rinse off and place away from direct line of water ~ it is so dense, it never "melts" like a bar of soap would. The scent doesn't seem to be anything that is transferred to my hair. After rinsing, I do need to condition. My hair is fine and straight and after using this, it is just like using a sulfate free shampoo ~ my hair is very tangled and matted.

There are other brands that make conditioning bars, if you were looking for something like that. I just used my normal conditioner and my hair was tangle free and not matted. This soap cleans VERY well.  This really helped relieve itchy scalp as well.   This is a very cool shampoo and if you are looking to go a bit eco-friendly, more natural, traveling light or even dealing with scalp issues, I do recommend this shampoo bar.  This is an unisex product

This wash off mask pack total winner in my book! Green tea that has been fermented with some other good ingredients ~ this mask is very gentle, but I feel that it has delivered with some very good results. A lot of people do not like jelly masks, and I get that ~ I’ve tried jelly masks that have done nothing for my skin. However, this one is great ~ adds moisture, reduces redness, unclogs my pores and makes them look smaller and just feels and smells great! My skin is very soft after I use. It is rare that I would purchase another one of these types of masks so soon after the initial purchase, but I will be getting another one of these quite soon
